I am stuck trying to capture my first Ixupi. I have a pot and lid, and I referred to the WT, but I can't seem to get the Ixupi into the pot. Does each pot and lid have to have a specific Ixupi? If not, does the lid come off to get the thing inside? I either lose my pot and lid, or I keep getting my life blood (green stuff) taken from me till I die. Help!!

I also haven't played Shivers in a long time but I do believe that you have to have the right pot and the right lid or you can't capture the ixupi. Oh and only the ixupi designed for the pot will go in ie: the ash ixupi will only go in the ash pot/lid combo

Thanks for all the great tips. I do have one question though, is there any way to get more health, or am I stuck with what I have? It seems like I will run out of health before the game is over.

Yes, each time you capture an Ixupi, the life essence (health) that Ixupi took from you is restored. Nevertheless, it's wise to avoid attacks whenever possible. With a keen ear, you can detect the change in the mood and tempo of the background music when an Ixupi is present.

Following is a list of the 20 "most likely" places to find a pot part
Desk drawer in office Workshop Shelf in plant room Bird mask in lobby Base of statue in Library Theater stage Clock tower Poseidon puzzle Land of Deros Chinese Checkers Pinball puzzle Gallows puzzle Alchemy puzzle Sarcophagus puzzle Moro Coffin Sumarian Lyre puzzle Music box puzzle Spaceship Janitor's closet And the final, 20th, piece will be discovered at the end of the game.
Hopefully this will give you the information you need to finish.

And yes, you can die. There is one situation that you can run across that will put you face-to-face with an Ixupi that won't let you get past. So save your games.
Another hint: Big scores are not the objective. Willie Eide, one of the game's designers said that they threw scoring in for fun. You can run up the score just by riding the elevator over and over again.
The real trick is completing the game in the fewest points.
For whom the games toll. They toll for thee.
