Because of the recent developments Marinus_Louis has removed all the Englisch text walkthroughs from his site: www.pcgameswalkthroughs.nl

We will keep on making new walkthroughs but only in Dutch.

I did enjoyed translating our walkthroughs but now the pleasure is gone to do the translation of whole walkthroughs.

I know that some members will be disappointed but this is now the situation.

If someone is stuck in a game and we have a walkthrough for that game, please post it or send me a PM and I will try to help you.

It is sad but it is what it is, no more English walkthroughs.

I'm sorry, too, Lion. I just started to play "The Raven" again, this time the remastered version, and then found your WT in Dutch only. Very disappointing, but I'm sure that Louis had some good reasons. Hope he might change his mind, though. Good luck to all of you. I'm pretty sure I speak for all of us.

Just remember sanford all walkthroughs can easily be translated by simply clicking on the Google translate option given when you go to the site. It's a shame they decided to remove already translated versions so that all English speaking gamer's can not have access to them.

google translate good but there are sometimes translations that says the complete opposit.

i have seen things like; our text is open the door and google translate that in don't open the door.
this happen not often but it happens, it depens on the line.

the text is probally a little off because i have to write it with my left hand and i am right handed.
i have 2 triggerfingers operated.

Guess I've been lucky so far, Lion, and haven't run into any glitches in Google Translate. It could make things interesting!

I hope your triggerfingers recover... a friend also had the same surgery recently on just one finger. So far, it is doing well.

last year i had 1 on my left hand and is now recovered wel, these 2 on my right hand will be ok but it take a little while

Draclvr, maybe is it because of the Dutch languace. We have some strange sayings, sometimes it is a complete normal Dutch line.

Or it could be the other way around! English has some strange sayings too! One thing I noticed is that the translations from Dutch to English are very good. But I also use it to translate from French to English with a French speaking friend. The translations from French to English make me dizzy and sometimes I can't figure them out. Dutch to English seems to work much better.

If I had to guess, I'd say it's the way the translator program is written.

It's not just with Dutch.
Google translation has the same problem with French and German, and I'm sure with other languages too. Despite my limited vocabulary in French, and my still more limited vocabulary in German, it's sometimes helpful to go back to the original untranslated text, looking up only those words I don't know instead of trusting Google to sort out the grammar.

Google may also choose the wrong definition for a word when the same word can have multiple definitions depending on context -- which can make for some very confusing translations.

i also translate it back to see what google comes up.
i am not a language wonder but most of the times i can feel if it is wright or wrong, i cannot tell why and how that works.
i look at different meanings of words or i use just a part of the line.
and sometimes i am wrong with the text and someone tells me what it has to be.

I am VERY disappointed that yourself and Louis are not doing anymore English walkthroughs I thought they were very good,but I shall just have to muddle through and try my best to solve things !!

Google Translate is not on a walkthrough site. It is an add-on to your browser from Google.

Mad do you use Google chrome for a browser?? if so when you go to that link it will ask you at the top of the page do you want to translate.. go to the walk thru and it will do the same thing. click yes it bamm it is in English

I use Firefox and simply added the translator as an add-on.

Hi everybody,

I DID use Google Translate yesterday to translate "The Raven". I works well, but will not translate the whole walthrough, just a certain amount of the wt, so I have to make a "few" trips back and forth, one section at a time. Doing that now, just a minor inconvenience. Hope your hand gets better soon, Lion.

OK, I DID add the "Google Translate" Extension to my Chrome Browser. after following a "few" instructions.
I now have the icon at the top of the browser, and with a few "tweaks", I can now translate any language to English. My first attempt to try it out was on Lion's and Louis's Dutch Site.
MISSION ACCOMPLISHED, so now I am following "The Raven" walkthrough in English, also printing most of it out, the rest to follow later. So I'm "back in business" with the Dutch site.
