Here is a list in US and CAnada that makes dolls - Doll factories There are places everywhere in the world that makes dolls. Like most things, the cheapest will likely come out of China.

What I found is that Barbies in particular are made in Indonesia and China. I'm sure that there are other dolls made in other countries. And believe it or not, American Girl dolls (also now a Mattel product) were once made in Germany, but are now also made in China. At least, parts are. One source I found said that assembly is done in the U.S., but I haven't been able to confirm.

If you're looking for a specific doll, for example Horsman or Madame Alexander dolls then type that in the search bar. I collected dolls for years and found a good source for learning a bit more about them, on ebay. Just click on dolls.
