Hiya my Boomer friends, hope you are all well! Haven't been here in a while as I've been quite ill. A few weeks ago I started to lose the power in my legs, worsening daily until I was virtually unable to walk. Doctors are thinking possible nerve damage and poor circulation which has resulted in an ulcer and open wound on one foot which are not healing well due to diabetes. I am determined not to be bed bound or house bound and have been forcing myself onto my feet and walking as far as pain will allow although as yet am unable to walk outdoors so have to use a wheelchair. Getting the pain under control has been long drawn out but finally seem to have found the correct dose of the right med. Could I ask for your prayers and good thoughts please? Love you all!

Oh Mary, you have all my good thoughts and healing prayers for you. I know personally how awful it is to have pain that prevents walking or even standing upright for extended times. Good for you for hanging in there and doing what you can while you can. My Dad always told me that once you sit it becomes too easy to not get up.

Sorry for the pain! Life isn't fun some times especially when growing older. Each day is a blessing as long as I'm up and moving. Hope you continue to manage with all the troubles that plague you. Hugs!

Aww oldbroad, Mad, L4L, Darlene, Judith, Starcom, Marian, Joe, Sorta, Winfrey, venus, Ana, Gerry, Trippy, Connie, soot, Draclvr, Space and family...many thanks for your kind messages, they warm my heart! The past week has not been great pain wise which has resulted in another med adjustment. This seems to be helping, fingers crossed it continues...I actually slept last night. Another piece of good news..the ulcer on my foot is healing well to the point where I won't need any more treatment. and the open wound is looking better. One negative thing, I have developed tremors in my arms and legs which can make things difficult. It's taken me ages to type this, I have to keep correcting errors! My mobility has improved slightly although not enough to enable me to do without the wheelchair when outside, my hubby is certainly getting his exercise!

I have been with GameBoomers a long time and it will always be a special place. Once again, thank you all for your kind words and prayers.
