Interactive Entertainment has awarded them There's very little information out there as to what kind of game this will be. I know my imagination has been running wild while reading the announcement. I'd love to explore Wonka's factory in the context of a game.

Backbone Entertainment will be developing the PC version of the game.

Will we all be handed the famous Golden Ticket?

Willie Wonka was one of my favorite movies as a kid!

I didn't know there was a NEW Willie Wonka movie coming out - I don't know if I like the idea of that. You can't copy a classic!

Yup. They're not trying to copy the first movie though. The new one is supposed to be closer to the book. And Johnny Depp will be Willie Wonka instead of Gene Wilder. From what little I've heard, it will be spookier than the first movie, like many of Tim Burton's movies are. Think "Nightmare Before Christmas" or "Edward Scissorhands."

Dawn, that was good! Now can you sing that while doing a cartwheel? I can't remember the lessons, but I can sure sing the chorus loud and off key!

Glad to hear they are taking a different direction with that. Johnny Depp is talented enough to try, I know. Be fun to see what he does with the role.

Nothing is likely to budge my fondness for the Gene Wilder classic though. His perfomances are always unique. Can't imagine anyone replacing him in anything! And that movie was great, even though the effects are hokey now. "Grandpa" was really sweet...and some of the naughty kids were wonderfully over the top. Remember Veruka (sp) Salt?

Not sure I'll like a remake of one of my all time favorite movies (especially by Tim Burton) but a game has wonderful possibilities
