A game with "Myst/Riven" feel to it The game is on Kickstarter & Steam Greenlight It looks, so far, really really interesting. Acording to the developers they have a "gametime" target of approx 12-13 hours Cheers

I'm a little confused as to the 1500 goal. You really can't guarantee a release with that kind of funding.

From the Kickstarter page... Inspired by classic puzzle adventure games Myst, Riven and more recent titles like Amnesia Amnesia doesn't play the same as Myst and Riven at all.

Hello folks. Chris here I guess if you had to call me something it would be "Lead" on this project. I stumbled across this by random chance of clicking "live traffic" on our google analytics and seeing someone link in from gameboomers.com. This is my first time on this website and I wanted to clear a few minor details up. Jenny100- In regards to Amnesia you are correct they are totally different play styles when it comes to puzzles. However I was referring more to the horror elements of the game. It has an eerie setting where you never really feel 100 percent safe. BrownEyedTigre- I am aware that the kickstarter has a very low goal. The amount there is the bare minimum needed to cover expenses related to releasing the game as far as software licencing and legal fees go. Of course we hope that the goal is exceeded so I can bring on additional talent however that does not look like it is going to happen. Thankfully the three core members of this project are doing it out of love. I am home sick today and am working on coding the initial cut scene systems so that we can finally start to put some of the story elements into the game. Ron is off work today and is designing a beautiful door that has a "black box puzzle" to open it. You will see us use that term a lot. A 'bbp' is a puzzle that requires you to experiment. See how each input changes the output and use that to make a logical guess as to what exactly happens inside the black box. In this case it is a series of interlocking gears that multiply and divide the rotation of an output shaft that you must align. Lagavulin- Thank you for sharing Dark Hope with this site. If you folks don't mind I would be more then happy to comeback and post some screenshots at a later time once we have more of the world textured. BTW if you want to help us out the best thing you can do is yes vote on greenlight. Click this link and you can open it DIRECTLY in the steam app so you do not need to waste time signing in. Open in greenlight

Hey all. Thought I would provide a small update. We are still trying to pass greenlight. http://darkhopethegame.com/openinsteam.phpWe have finished the mechanics of another puzzle and it has been sent off to our artist to pretty it up. If anyone would like I can post a very short alpha here later. It has no story elements integrated yet as we don't want the story leaked however it does contain one major puzzle and one complex minor puzzle in functional but semi finished states. I would prefer to distribute link via pm so I can have some control over this. Current gameplay of demo is 20 minutes to an hour and a half depending on skill. Any one interested?

Thought I would provide a small update here. Last year our main artist died. This kind of forced us to rework many of the assets and levels to the point where we just started over. Work has resumed on the game and we are making huge progress and have reworked our story into something we hope is more enjoyable. Recent work has involved simplifying the puzzles to reduce travel time. If a puzzle was not fun to solve in our original demos it has been reworked or ripped from the game. If you want to follow along I regularly stream on twitch at https://www.twitch.tv/brokenbunnystudios and of course at our website http://brokenbunnystudios.com Thank you all for the help last year!

small update As things rapidly move forward we have decided to post a VERY EARLY build on itchio. The story elements have not been added yet and the puzzles are about 20 percent done. however this already makes for several hours of puzzles. Feedback welcomed esp using the message board in the link I have posted 30 free keys'/ all keys will stay valid even once game goes live. https://brokenbunnystudios.itch.io/dark-hope
