By now a lot have completed Still Life and know that the company "Lombartech" was the manufacturer of the High-tech equipment (and access cards) within the game. Early on in the game I noticed the e-mail address for Lombartech Support. I sent off an e-mail and never got a response BUT it never bounced back. After the game I did a search on the internet and it showed there was a company "Lombartech". I went to the web site and it all looked very strange. A further search showed that Microids owns the site. So the site is faked. There are various clues within the site that show its fake (entertaining to look for). I must admit that I thought that it might lead to a final chapter to the game but I guess it might be wishful thinking. I have a long list of clues that lead me to think this (including the Morse code on the box).
This is the real kicker.... Quote from Microids site. "The three-part Still Life Extended Reality experience centers around the characters and events leading up to, and after, the launch of the Still Life PC game. Players begin the first part of their online investigation as Still Life’s protagonist, Victoria McPherson, FBI Agent. The finale of the experiences sees players resume as active participants in the online investigation, letting them fully delve into the depth and complexity of Still Life. They will continue to investigate web-based mysteries, interacting with now familiar characters from the PC game, as well as original NPCs created solely for the web. Along with Victoria’s computer, players will scour several fictional, but incredibly realistic, websites created exclusively for the game universe. The story evolves through various media vehicles as players follow cleverly hidden hints and clues provided by the alternate reality itself, and the marketing materials surrounding the game." So is the "final of the experience" up and running? It seems at least some of it is. Food for thought...

Oh my...wouldn't we all just love more? Yes yes yes!!! I'm hoping for word of another game sequel too! In the meantime, Mordack, that is some pretty interesting research you got there! I must go check it out! You don't suppose it has anything to do with the "Prelude" on the STill Life website do you? It does say All of this is going to happen on Victoria's desktop, through journal entries, news reports and email interaction. Remember: You'll be Victoria's eyes and hands, so you'll be opening her journal every morning, responding to her email and piecing together the clues that will bring a killer to justice. I've played a bit of this, no graphics so far, but it's kinda interesting.

I was under the impression from the Still Life forum that this was supposed to be a triogy of games (Post Mortem,Still Life and a third game, not ARG but an actual followup game, CDrom like the others). Of course with Ubi acquiring Microids who knows???
If the world didn't suck would we all fall off Now playing Post Mortem, Midnight Nowhere and Still Life

Edit - The liberty OS picture flashes "HELP" in black letters to the bottom left of the statue, and the red letters lighting up in "Factory 2005" text spell out "See through the lies." (There is a Morse code message on the side of the Still Life box...) EDIT: I decoded it. It says "Silence is golden and patience is a virtue."

Have they updated the site with the ARG? It sounds like you found something to play with on the site, Looney and Mordack?
I remember those other interactions from the pre-game promotions. Is there something new there now?
Thanks.

When I've had the chance I've been more or less reading up on ARG itself. I find the genre fascinating. I think it would be something I'd like. I haven't seen any updates on any of the website. I still think someone is(or was) planning something. There's still a lot of clues lying around.

I hadn't seen that picture on the site before, Mordack. I didn't remember those particular numbers either, but went and looked at my notes and they were there! I also have a lousy memory. Melanie
