Although MY loss of interest really started long ago - when "chores" began to appear in every game.
Doing chores is not my idea of having a Nancy Drew adventure.
(To my mind they are nothing but blatant "padding" 👎)

Many of the games after White Wolf of Icicle Creek do not have a lot of chores. I remember when that trend began with the Nancy Drew games, but it did not continue indefinitely. Assuming that the rest of them are like that could mean that you missed out on some good games that you might have enjoyed.

Not sure. I thought I read somewhere someone saying it would be released on Steam as well, but now I'm not sure where I heard that and it may or may not be true. Will post if I find out anything for sure.

Probably! I thought Ransom had some of the hardest puzzles of any ND game I have played, but you might feel differently about it.

I also read that there probably isn't going to be a Bonus edition - at least that is what is being said at this time.

Too much hand/eye coordination required.

I have saved games at the ready, though, so all is not lost!

And MaG wrote a walkthrough that I'm sure will be helpful. So far, the only time I needed a save for a Nancy Drew game was for sewing a dress. I never was able to sew it myself.

That sewing thing in Secret of the Old Clock was a problem for many. I finally got it, but it is a good idea to also have a save for it.

I remember being was stuck on the sewing puzzle myself but read somewhere that doing it at TOP SPEED, even if not accurately, would get you through it.
And it DID.
So that's how I managed to move on !!

Does anyone still play the Nancy Drew games? I absolutely love them! I have them all. I can't wait for the new one that will be released in October. I am back to playing them so I hope I will still be able to come here for help when needed!

Many of us are very curious about Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem and still play the games. I have every one of them too.

If you order the new game from HeR Interactive, a digital strategy guide/walkthrough will be included. Our main walkthrough writer, MaG, retired a couple of years ago so there will not be a walkthrough for Midnight in Salem right away, if ever. There will be help available through the strategy guide, though, and I am sure that YouTube will have a walkthrough up rather quickly.

We still offer hints and help for the other Nancy Drew games, and we also have quite a collection of saved games if someone needs one.

By the way, preorders start for Midnight in Salem on October 1st, but the actual release date for the game is November 19th.
