Don't know about the rest of you, but Jewel (Albertsons) Food Stores is main grocery chain in midwest, always doing some kind of point collection deal for gifts or lower prices. Recently I had a laugh when I realized they were doing something similar to the 'green stamps'. I remember my Mom collecting 20 books then having to travel to downtown Chicago to cash them in to get a new clothes iron. She was thrilled! While in line to check out my groceries, knowing the stamps were coming, customers who didn't want the stamps (including myself) were alert to those customers who did want the stamps and willingly directd the cashier to forward the stamps to the next customer. Lady ahead of me waited for me to finish cashing out so she could get my stamps. LOL.
Also got a laugh with the big needle on the record player. Never saw one that big. I only knew the slimmer model.
thanks, Donald
