I always write "1. Wake Up" on my To-Do-List so I can at least accomplish one thing a day. ~ Unknown ~~~~ “Hey Jim”, called Harry. “Check out my new hearing aids, they work so well, I could hear a pin drop!” “Really” asked Jim, that’s unbelievable, I am actually on the market for hearing aids, what type is it?” “Four a clock”, responded Harry. ~~~~ So this old man goes to the doctor and the doctor says, “You’re test results came back and I’m afraid I have some bad news. You have Cancer and you have Alzheimer’s”. The old man says, “That ain’t so bad, at least I don’t have Cancer!” ~~~~ Sam goes to the doctor for his yearly checkup. “Everything is fine”, said the doctor, “You’re doing OK for your age.” “For my age?” questioned Sam, “I’m only 75, do you think I’ll make it to 80? “Well” said the doctor, “do you drink or smoke?” “No” Sam replied. “Do you eat fatty meat or sweets?” “No” said Sam “I am very careful about what I eat.” “How about your activities? Do you engage in thrilling behaviors like speeding or skiing? “No” said Sam taken aback, “I would never engage in dangerous activities.” “Well,” said the doctor, “then why in the world would you want to live to be 80? ~~~~ Mrs. Green lived in two story house together with an elderly widow. After not hearing from her for a few days, she got a bit nervous. “John”, she called to her son “do me a favor and go find out how old Mrs. Robinson is.” So six year old John went down the stairs and knocked on Mrs. Robinson’s door. “So how is she?” asked Mrs. Green when John came back up. “How is she?” repeated John “I’ve never seen her so mad in my life, she said it’s none of your business how old she is.” ~~~~ Grandma Sally’s first great-grandchild was born and after a few weeks, when the parents need a break, she was given the job of watching her. “Let me see the little cutie,” begs her friend Gerty. “Not yet”, Sally responds. When she again refuses five minutes later Gerty has had enough “what are you waiting for?” she fumed. “I’m waiting for her to cry.” “Why is that?” questioned Gerty. “Well, because I forgot where I put her!” ~~~~ Due to the fact that my elderly mother was constantly losing her cordless phone I bought her a phone with a clip. I was taken by surprise the next afternoon to find her standing in the kitchen holding her pants by her ear. “What are you staring at?” she snapped at me, “I couldn’t figure out how to undue this silly clip you bought me!” ~~~~ A lady noticed an old happy man sitting on his porch. “Excuse me” she said “I just couldn’t help noticing how happy you look. Tell me, what is the secret to your long happy life.” “Well, the man responded, “I eat fatty foods, never exercise. I also smoke three packs of cigarettes a day, and drink about a case of whiskey a week” “Wow” the women said “and how old are you?” “Twenty eight”, he said! ~~~~ The trouble with retirement is that you never get a day off. ~~~~ Ever Wonder? What do gardeners do after they retire? ~~~~ I ran into a store leaving my elderly mother in the car. I was surprised when at the cashier I saw my mother there. What are you doing here I asked I left the car running? Don’t worry dear she said, I locked the doors! ~~~~ A few old couples used to get together to talk about life and to have a good time. One day one of the men, Harry, started talking about this fantastic restaurant he went to the other night with his wife. “Really?”, one of the men said, what’s it called? After thinking for a few seconds the Harry said, “what are those good smelling flowers called again?” “Do you mean a rose? the first man questioned. “Yes that’s it,” he exclaimed. Looking over at his wife he said, “Rose what’s that restaurant we went to the other night?” ~~~~ An old man went to the Doctor complaining that his wife could barely hear. The Doctor suggested a test to find out the extent of the problem. “Stand far behind her and ask her a question, and then slowly move up and see how far away you are when she first responds.” The old man excited to finally be working on a solution for the problem, runs home and sees his wife preparing supper. ” Honey” the man asks standing around 20 feet away “whats for supper?” After receiving no response he tried it again 15 feet away, and again no response. Then again at 10 feet away and again no response. Finally he was 5 feet away “honey whats for supper?” She replies “For the fourth time it’s lasagna!” ~~~~ Two old ladies were discussing their husbands over tea. “I wish that my Robert would stop biting his nails. It gets me very upset. “My Calvin used to do the same thing,” the older woman replied. “But I broke him of the habit.” “How?” the first women asked “I hid his teeth. ~~~~ Good morning once again ever boomie. Here's a fresh new diner for you to feast on, right out of the oven. I'm still hanging out here with Pepper and Missy. We had Beau here for a few days, and took him back home Saturday. I haven't done much this past week. I skipped my exercises for at least 3 days (my bad). Now I'm trying to make up for it, so I do that and Missy holds the stop watch. She's a hard task master........so demanding. Have a great week everyone. joe

Hello everyone. Time to report everything that's going on here in Okalala Land once again. And that's about it. We had another rainy gloomy one, and tomorrow's supposed to be the same, only colder. Connie I made the mistake of feeding one of the neighborhood cats that I like, and now I have about 10 cats on my porch every morning and I go through a 20lb bag of cat food every week. Missy is afraid of them, and she is literally like, "Yea though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death..." every time she goes outside. I have to escort her out. Sometimes I have to carry her out, through the cats to do her business. Hey Lotus, good to see you again. Gerry I hope you're feeling better. Ana the only thing worse than walking on ice is driving on it. I hope it's all gone by now. Soot don't it feel so good getting home after one of those long days? I know it feels good getting home from work any day. Have a super day Family, Soot, L4L, Ana, Connie, Gertry, Lotus, Space Quest Fan, and everyboomie. joe

Good morning, have a Great Hump Day. Joe, that is quite a picture I can now see. Becky would like to play with the cats. They want no part of her, she plays to rough. Karaoke at the Eagles tonight. Danish, Eggs, Grits, Hash Browns, Bacon, and Toast in the NC.

You sure have a houseful, connie! Do the guest cats get along with yours? Enjoy your evening out! family, enjoy your shows. Joe, the ice isn't going anywhere soon. We have a couple inches of it. My hilly trail runs are fun with multiple retrievers on leashes and wildlife everywhere. Nothing beats 200 pounds of pure muscle trying to drag you to a herd of deer. Enjoy your day! Gerry, so good to see you again! Hope you are improving daily! L4L, sending positive thoughts to the pups everyday! soot, hope your event went off without a hitch! Hi ho, hi ho...it's off to work I go. Wednesdays are always my longest days. I have extra mid week park runs for pups. It's always great when I get over the hump. Have a great day all!

Hello Ana, my event's morning session ran its course in "stormy weather" but we finished on a high note and the afternoon event ran smooth and straight! I hope your long day passes quickly and smoothly Grin Joe, I can imagine Missy would be quite nervous with a herd of cats outside Family, enjoy your court shows Connie, have fun at Eagles tonight...what's your favorite Karaoke song? I'll have grits and bacon in the NC please We sent Sagan across the Rainbow Bridge this morning ... never an easy undertaking ... we dearly miss our girl

soot and L4L, my heart goes out to you both. It's the hardest thing to do but the most loving when they let you know it's time. Hugs to you both.
