It's on Steam for £10.99 You can still purchase the game from Big Fish for $6.99; it just isn't shown on the page that lists all the hidden object games. This probably isn't the right game, anyway. And Jenny already has the game that she is looking for.

No. Nothing like Azada. It's a Hidden object game, not a puzzle game, and the graphics are definitely dark, which none of the Azada games are. You are not entering a book. You are carrying one as a tool. Every so often you find something you can use in the book, which gives you a clue or an object you can use in the environment.

That looks like it could be an interesting game, but it's not in my Big Fish list of purchased games. Also the game I'm thinking of didn't have the inventory on the top.

How about Love Chronicles: A Winter's Spell? You carry a book around with you and you complete the puzzles page by page. You collect items in the game to enable the next puzzle.
Did you ever stop to think and then forget to start again?

Thanks for the suggestion, but it can't be that one. I have other games from of the Love Chronicles series but not that one (I own #'s 1,2,3, and 5). The game I'm thinking of is one I own and have played twice in the past (though not recently). Also I checked the other Love Chronicles games and the graphics are more fairy-tale-like than the game I'm thinking of, which has more gritty graphics and is not a fairy-tale-themed game. It's paranormal-themed, with esoteric symbols and such.

Halloween Stories 2: Black Book? That one isn't on my purchased games list, so it can't be that one. Also I've checked all my games with the word "Book" in the title, and it's none of those, so the game doesn't have the word "Book" in the title. Possibly some synonym for the word book, but I don't think so. The Emptiness did have a sort of book where you'd collect clues, but the game I'm thinking of wasn't The Emptiness.

I just went through my list of games and came across "The Keeper of Antiques: The Revived Book". Could that be the one you're looking for? It was released in 2016. I don't own that one, Susan. I suppose I could list the games I own, but considering there are over 900 of them...

Is it possible that you could have listed it as one of your favorites in a past year, back when people here were posting their favorite casual games? If so, you might be able to pull that up in a search. It's not one of the games I suggested in that thread, and I don't think I recommended it in any other thread. Now someone else might have recommended it at some point. Any possibility it could be one of the Nevertales series? Well, unlike the other suggestions in this thread, I don't really remember the Nevertales games at all. I have the first four in the series, and will check them out in more detail, but a cursory glimpse at the graphics on YouTube playthroughs suggests the graphics in the Nevertales games are more "colorful" than the game I'm thinking of. Also I'm not seeing the book on the screen (it should be in the lower right), ready for you to open it up and put things in it (things like cards, symbols, amulets). Of course it can be hard to tell what's going on when you're skipping through a YouTube playthrough, so I'll have to check the Nevertales games out myself. I see they're already installed on my computer, so obviously I was planning to replay them anyway (and forgot due to CRS as often happens). +_+_+_+_+_+_+_+ EDIT -- Well it's definitely not the first Nevertales, which is certainly a fairy-tale-type game and not a paranormal game. Also though there are books in Nevertales #1, it's not one single book that you carry around with you. The puzzles in Nevertales are much easier than the ones in the game I was thinking of too. I'll check the other Nevertales, but I don't think the game I was thinking of is from this series.
