It took a little while but I finally got my own custom Avater. I had to build the web site first.

As soon as I saw my avatar in the available pics, it reminded me of a series of books I read when I was young. Some of you older members may remember them - the "Patty" books by Carolyn Wells. They were set back in the early part of the century and some of the clothes described were just like this - leg of mutton sleeves, high hair, hats, etc.

A friend taught me an easy way to make avatars using irfanview, a free imaging software program. Irfanview comes with the option to resize any photo using pixel measurements. Makes avatars pics a snap. *hears the groans* wha?

I asked about fossils, since I am getting to be a fossil. Not really, but I was having an abused Grandma day. Now I see that I am younger than lots of folks here. But these are really nice sites to look at, thanks for posting them. I may not use one for an avatar, but nice to have them saved. Judy

Well----I am always sticking my tongue out like my doggies in my avatar. But the similarities end there. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="tongue.gif" /> I'm much bigger and less hairy then they are. Oh, and not nearly as cute.
