So, I take it Flip and Guito are the names of these guys? Can't say it rings a bell with me either.

that sounds familiar from Runaway A Road Adventure. I think they were the two thugs that they were hiding from. Not totally sure, but, I think that is it.

It sounds like broken sword. Except the names are flap and guido.

It's the first Broken Sword game, which was released under a couple of different names depending on which part of the world you live in: Broken Sword: Circle of Sword; Broken Sword: Shadow of the Templars; and Broken Sword Director's Cut. Those are all the same game. The Director's Cut is a remastered version that you potentially could have picked up from GOG.

The Director's Cut includes Shadow of the Templars/Circle of Blood (the game had two different names depending upon whether it was the North American release or the European release. Shadow of the Templars/Circle of Blood is the same game.

In other words, you get the remastered game as well as the original game.
