Thanks for the good news, Ana. I started playing the prologue and realized three things:
1) Kate Walker is a trooper, as usual, no matter what kind of haircut she is given. 2) Automatons are the best 3) I have to step up my search for a semi-quiet laptop with a graphics card
Setting the video quality to low in the game's options menu allowed me to scrape by, but I'll really need a graphics card before I can play this game. It's enjoyable to be in Sokal's world again, in any case. Looking forward to the release of the game.
I point, therefore I click.

I am excited for a new Syberia as long as its an entirely different story. Please end the Youkols, the Youki, Oscar and Hans...had more than enough of them and ready for some new characters. I also don't think I will enjoy Kate unless Sharon Mann is doing the voice...is she?

Greyfuss, Sharon Mann is the voice of Kate, but, per reviews she sounds much older now that the age of Kate.

Thank you so much for posting this!!! I didn't even know it was available. I downloaded the prologue/demo (it's 3+ GB) on Steam, and started playing. Thus far (small sample size): beautiful graphics (just gorgeous), interesting storyline, entrancing musical score. You get used to the controls after a short bit. I have a somewhat new PC, so graphically (maxed-out settings) it presents no problems for me (not a lot of choices in grfx setup in the options menu though; I assume there will be more when the full game is out)....but I did see some issues (see the Steam discussion group) with graphical hang-ups, I guess on older PCs? But hey: it's free, so I guess if it doesn't run it won't cost you anything to find out. It seems well-optimized to me. Unfortunately, there are quite a few closed-minded bigots on the game's Steam discussion group who are making some vile comments and aspersions re. the main character's (Kate's) sexual "preferences", but that's online trolls for you nowadays :-( Not sure why it's so important to them, but it's today's climate, I guess. Do yourselves a favor and just skip past those posts. The game itself looks stunning. I LOVED the original Syberia, and liked Syberia 2. Not so much Syberia 3. But this looks like it will be great. I DO hope there will be save slots in the full game (there aren't in this prologue). ~~~Again, thanks for making we fellow GBers aware of this demo, Brown Eyed Tigre!!! ----Edited: Steam finally saw fit to remove all the distasteful, bigoted comments re. Kate. Her appearance/voice (etc) don't bother me in the least, although there is little resemblance to Kate in Syberia 1/2. I'm looking at it as a new game,so I can easily suspend my disbelief. Anyway, artwork, environment, storyline, music etc are all first rate. The only qualm I have are the checkpoints in the prologue/demo. I hope the full game has save points one can choose. I dislike having to start over from the beginning of a "chapter" if I have to quit the game for whatever reason. Finished the demo and can't wait for the full game...as long as it has more save points and the ability to step through dialogue/cutscenes that I've already played (didn't have that option, either, in this demo).

Thank you Sheriff An older sounding Sharon Mann is way better than any new voice that doesn't seem to fit to all us fans of the Syberia World.
