Munia Khan New year is the glittering light to brighten the dream-lined pathway of future. ~~ Michael Altshuler The bad news is time flies. The good news is you’re the pilot. ~~ Buddha “No matter how hard the past, you can always begin again.” ~~ Nido Qubein Your present circumstances don’t determine where you can go. They merely determine where you start. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Q: What is a New Year’s resolution? A: Something that goes in one year and out the other. Q: What do snowmen like to do on New Year’s Eve? A: Chill out. Youth is when you’re allowed to stay up for new year’s. Middle age is when you’re forced to. Q: What do New Year’s parades have in common with Santa Claus? A: No one is awake to see either of them. Q: Why do you need a jeweler on New Year’s Eve? A: To ring in the new year. My New Year’s resolution is to stop hanging out with people who ask me about my New Year’s resolutions. Q: What did the little champagne bottle call his father? A: Pop! Q: What’s a cow’s favorite holiday? A: Moo Year’s Eve. Q: Where can you find comedians on New Year’s Eve? A: Waiting for the punchline. Q: What do farmers give their wives at midnight on New Year’s Eve? A: Hogs and kisses! An optimist stays up until midnight to see the new year in. A pessimist stays up to make sure the old year leaves. I see no need to make more New Year’s resolutions when the ones already on the books aren’t being enforced. Q: What do you call always wanting a date for New Year’s Eve? A: Social Security. Q: What’s a digital camera’s New Year’s resolution? A: 1080p. This New Year’s, I’m going to make a resolution I can keep—no dieting all year long. Knock knock. Who’s there? Abby. Abby who? Abby New Year. Q: Where can you go to practice math on New Year’s Eve? A: Times Square. Q: Why should you put your new calendar in the freezer? A: To start off the new year in a cool way. Q: What do you tell someone you didn’t see on New Year’s Eve? A: I haven’t seen you for a year! This New Year’s, I resolved to lead a better life. Now all I have to do is find someone who will trade lives with me. Q: What happened to the man who shoplifted a calendar on New Year’s Eve? A: He got 12 months! Q: What is corn’s favorite holiday? A: New EARS Day! Q: What’s the one group that hates New Year’s Day? A: The New Year’s Eve clean-up crew. I was going to quit all my bad habits for the new year, but then I remembered that nobody likes a quitter. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ That's the best way ever to take a test. One that ask you the question, and then gives you the answer. Howdy Gameboomers one and all. That's another year, and another 52 diners in the books. I guess it's time to get my diaper laundered and start the new year clean. I hope they don't use starch on it this year. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/midi/figuren/a054.gif) Anyway I hope the new year brings much love and prosperity for you. Happy New Year guys. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.cheesebuerger.de/images/more/feuer/a190.gif) joe

Joe, we are looking forward to the New Year, and hoping very much that life gets better for so many folks.
I'm heading out to the park in just a second. I made chicken soup yesterday instead of going out, so today I'm heading out as soon as I post.
Wishing you all a most wonderful day!

Hello Gerry, Connie, Family, Soot, L4L, Chief, and everyone else. Chief is nice to see you in the diner the last few days. Sounds like a nice day's plans for you. Gerry how are you doing these days? Great I hope. Soot let me help you out with your plans.... chores, projects, music, reading, WW84, His Dark Materials. How's that? L4L chicken soup sounds awesome right now. I hope you weather was nice for the park. Family court shows? I got up early today and drove down to the VET for labs. My semi-annual was set for the 5th of Jan, but they rescheduled me for Feb 1st because of some personnel changes. c'est la vie Have yourselves a nice evening and a great day tomorrow everyone. joe

Hello Boomers, just stopping by to say 'Hi' and wish you all a great day. Hope you are all well and staying safe, and warm! It's very cold here with snow and ice Hope you all had a great Christmas. Ours was a lot quieter than usual this year as I'm sure most folks' were. Wishing for a better year for all of us next year. Much love, Mary

My apologies for being absent this week. I've been scrambling every evening to get myself caught up on my work so I can start the New Year off right. I'm so tired of looking at my ever growing list of "to do's" for 1 of my 3 jobs. I have been making a huge dent which makes me feel better. I will be having my bestie and her husband and dog over for dinner and games tonight, so it will be a semi quiet New Years eve. Still have my boarder here a few more days too. We had an ice storm yesterday and it's made running my dogs a bit more treacherous. Happy New Year everyone! Ana

Happy New Year! We will be very quiet. Son is still sick, though much better. He hasn't been fever free for long enough for me to feel safe hanging out though, so we will continue to avoid each other til he's been fever free for 3 days. So hubby and I will watch old movies and hang in the bedroom. The good side of that is I don't have any cooking to do! Here's hoping that everyone will be blessed in the New Year!
