Hi all ! I don't think this will be a surprise to anyone, but can anyone get me out of the forest chase mini game in Prey Tell? I am getting too old to play this kind of ......., well you can guess what ! If this is where we have gotten to with Sherlock and Frogwares, this is my last game from them. I wish there was a skip for this. We can't even go on to the next mystery and come back here later ! Terrible !! Saved Game after this ??? Detail help ?? Internet walkthroughs nice but they can't move Sherlock for me ! I'll stop here. Lost for words.

I'm sorry to have to tell you this, but the Frogwares support site used to have saved games for Devil's Daughter including for this forest sequence, and they now seem to have been removed from the website. Here are a couple tips from other players here, though: Run as much as possible, and when the line shows up on screen that the shot is about to hit Holmes, dodge quickly to either side and the bullet will miss... this puts much more distance between you and the shooter. If you hide behind cover, the shooter starts closing distance quickly. Wait until your breathing is getting really heavy and the stamina bar is almost drained..THEN duck into cover and wait for his stamina to recharge. This way, you start off running with the shooter much further away from you. If you wait in cover all the time, he keeps closing the distance down to nothing. It works at first, for a few times, but then he's just too close near the end of the run to get away. Just try to run as much as possible
When I played the game, I ran from side to side rather than in a straightish line and only stopped when I needed to,it took me awhile but I got there in the end, as Marian said check Youtube for hints on how to do it.

Thank you Marian It's one of those things where I know what to do but the execution and coordination wane as we get older. I'll keep trying and remove any breakables from my desk.

Hi All I hated to give up.... so I pulled up a Video Walkthrough on my second monitor and started the video walkthrough then matched the movements step for step. It took 3 tries but when I finally reached the swamp, I was able to get through it by following the screens on the second monitor which I Paused so the gold colored path would always be visible. It was either this, or get one of my grandkids over who like playing these "console type" games. Lesson learned ?? No more Frogwares games - they had a good thing going up until now.... In my humble opinion. Regards and Thank you !!

Excellent! Sometimes you just gotta do what you've gotta do!
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Well maybe if I'm not going to be sent it, perhaps Uncle Reg could send me a copy ?? Shall I see what he says - or is that too cheeky of me
