Have you ever considered making your own adventure game in the vein of the Carol Reed games, Silent Footsteps or Corrosion?
Well, I know that some of you have, since I've been contacted with queries about that several times, and at least on two occasions, it has actually resulted in completed games!
The good news is that now it's easier than ever!
Since the beginning of the year, I've been involved in a project aiming at creating a gaming framework, based on the highly acclaimed Godot Engine. The programming is an outstanding job by long-time MDNA collaborator and professional programmer Dennis Ploeger (with me on the receiving end as the nitpicker who wants to make constant changes

).
We've used the framework for the Carol Reed games as a reference, but the engine is very flexible, and can produce so much more than that. It's called EgoVenture, and you can find more information about it
here.
The engine exports to at least every operative system that I know about (including mobile), without any hassle.
It's totally free to use, and includes a short template game.
