I have been away for a long time. Life threw too many things my way. But Hooray I am now retired and can finally spend some time playing adventure games again. I started at the Homepage but there are soooo many games listed I dont know where to start. So I am asking for suggestions you all may have on which games to try first. I always loved adventure games and my favorites included Myst (all of them) Syberia, Tex Murphy, The Longest Journey, etc. I am hopeful that you Boomers can help a gal out with some suggestions of games similar or just as fun as the ones I used to play. The games you suggest may even be a few years old already since I have been away too long. Your suggestions will at least give me a starting point.

I haven't played a lot of newer adventure games, but hopefully you will get some good suggestions from others to get you started. You mentioned Tex Murphy - if you haven't played Tesla Effect, I highly recommend it. I realize that game came out quite a few years ago now, but I do want to make sure you have played it.

There's a thread on this same board titled "Looking for great adventures from the last 5-10 years". Unfortunately, I don't know how to point you to it. Maybe somebody else can or you can just browse a bit for it. It's pretty recent. There may be some suggestions in there to start you out.

Thanks oldbroad. I did find the thread and will look at some of the games listed. Although alot of them listed were the older adventure games that I did play before getting sidetracked by life.

Or perhaps the annual Game Recommnedations in the Archives! We haven't done it since 2018, but there could still be some goodies in there!

Or the Upcoming Games Releases page accessed through the Home Page which lists releases by month. (Or Latest & Upcoming Adventure Games) at the top of this page which is the same thing.)

I will check that list. Even 2018 is during the time I couldnt play much so there may be something good listed. Thank you
