I am starting to have a problem with my audio drivers after playing a BF game. The sound works fine starting up and playing the game, but when I exit the game, my audio doesn't work anymore. This doesn't happen every time I play a game, but when it DOES happen it is after I exit a BF game I am playing.
I can go through a diagnostic process via onboard Microsoft Help that tells me I need to reinstall my audio drivers. I give it the OK, and that fixes the audio ~ until the next time. The good thing is, I can do this little fix and have my audio back for games and everything else. The bad thing is, it happens almost weekly.
I am no IT person, so not sure what else to do. Is it time to take my CPU to the Computer Fixit Man?

Is this the same issue you talked about some time earlier? And you contacted BFG about it? All going through the little diagnostic is doing is reinstalling the same driver. I think I remember suggesting that you update the audio drivers at the manufacturer's website. But, that could just be my rememberer not working correctly.

Yes, I just did a search for it too. Thanks, Marian. When I went back over that previous post in March, you said you did a System Restore and everything was OK.
If a System Restore doesn't help this time, I would update the driver from the manufacturer's website first and then we'll go from there.

I am with Draclvr re: I would update the driver from the manufacturer's website first and then we'll go from there. Also Reenie, if you haven't already done so, make sure to Disable Windows 10 updating the Device drivers, more often than not, they are no good or do not work as well as the suggestion from Draclvr and the thing is, if you Do Not disable this feature even though you updated your driver from the proper Manufacture site, MS might replace it Once again via their updates. Below is a site on on how to Disable this feature, since you say you are not an IT person, Follow Only Step 1, if that does not work or find it difficult, maybe Draclvr or Marian or... other Mods or Members can help you to disable this feature: https://www.itechtics.com/disable-automatic-driver-updates-windows/Good luck
