Today, Tom’s Surprise, a photographic point & click game, was released. It’s available as a free download from here.

The game was made by Thomas Kunz, who was a beta tester for the latest Carol Reed game, and is heavily inspired by this series. The game can be played in both English and German, and is thoroughly recommended to fans of this type of games.

Yes, it's unfortunate that today's game engines are not yet supporting this. Maybe there will be an interface to a 3D food printer in future...

Very good, Thomas Kunz. I had to go back and take notes after finding the blank and bland..... enjoyed the game..

Finished! Good game; definitely shows Mikael's influence but does have a different vibe to it! It was quite longer than I was expecting also (though I play slower than some and get stuck more too).

I look so forward to Playing your games I really do. whatever you both come out with a Game in this genre i will be there to play them your games are great and not expensive at all ..... Thomas Its so hard for me to join Adv4ever I wanted to ask a question but was told E-mail is non valid or taken -or some other excuse I tried purchasing your Toms Surprise but to no avail I was even willing to donate $10 but it keeps telling me The Email is wrong ..... I would definitly like an EASIER way to access your site and sorry to say I became Frustrated (( well im 73 after about 6 times I became very frustrated )) which led me to uninstall ... now im depressed ....I wanted to ask you Thomas what was puzzle #3 answer thats where I spent 8 hours trying to solve it on my own I wish It could just go to my homescreen so I could click on the game ...it was taking me to all these crazy files .....but anyway I uninstalled it But KUDDOS to you and Mikael !!!! Love your games Thank You will always be there for you both Im sorry if I take too much time But GREAT GAMES hope you both team up on one or more or Your games Maybe?

Hi Leeana, I'm glad that you enjoyed the game but sad that you got frustrated. When you're stuck in the game you can use the notebook. Clicking on the current task in the notebook will reveal a hint that will hopefully put you on the right track again. For puzzle #3 you'll find the solution
The itch.io site that hosts the game is a marketplace focused on indie games. Tom's Surprise is available for free not allowing donations, but if you would like to donate something, I would suggest to spend it on one of the adventure game crowdfunding projects on kickstarter or indiegogo or other crowdfunding sites to support indie adventure game development.
