Hi Leeana I played Black Dahlia not too long ago on a Win 98. It's a great game. There are 8 disks. I was constantly swapping and I mean constantly not knowing where to go. I grabbed a walkthrough to help. I hated it but the game kept my intrust so I kept going. There was not a full download with the CD's. There are places to purchase including Amazon . Just click on "Buying Options". It won't just run on todays computers with out adjusting how ever there are sites that explain on how to get it up and running on WIN 10. One is here on GB by Jenny 100 and others. Others here might have other suggestions to help. Good Luck..... What are your specs?

Orion, I edited part of your post, as it linked to an abandonware site for this game. It is part of the policy of GameBoomers not to link to and/or endorse any abandonware/pirate sites. Thank you for your understanding. Leeana, another place to look for the game would be eBay. The game is not available legally anywhere as a download, as far as I know. You would also want to make sure that your machine could run the game. If you know how to run the game in a virtual machine, you could get it working; however, without that knowledge, you would need something like a Windows 98 computer to get it running properly. Maybe at some point GOG will get this game and tweak it so as to run on newer computers. I know a lot of people would like to see this happen. I have the game working very well on my Windows 7 computer, but I am running it in a virtual machine. It's great because you don't even have to use the CDs; the whole game runs off the hard drive so no CD swapping. Anyway, any questions of a technical nature about this game should be posted in the Glitches forum, of course.

Yes. I, too, hope GOG will eventually tweak this game. I have played it a few times - but though wonderful it is not easy

Ray Ivey wrote a wonderful parody of the game, which is in our GameBoomers Hall of Game. Maybe not all that funny if you haven't played the game, but still worth reading nevertheless. You can find it here.
