Hi.

I know I've read somewhere here at Gameboomers about folk having accounts at Big Fish on seperate computers yes

I already have an account with them on my Win7 machine but would like to have another on my Win10 machine.

Could I please ask for help on how to achieve that help

Mad, if you want to download some of your purchased games to your Windows 10 computer, than just go ahead and do it with your existing account. The only thing different that will happen is that prior to the downloading of the game, the Game Manager will first download and install onto your Windows 10 computer. It's perfectly fine to have two computers in your home and one account from Big Fish - here at my place, we have a Windows 7 computer and a Windows 10 computer that both download from the same account on Big Fish.

The only real reason to open a second account is if you have so many purchased games in your present account (nearing 1000 games or so) that you want to open another account in order to avoid the 1404 Game Manager glitch, which can (out of the blue) happen to people with very large purchase histories.

Thanks, Marian smile

However, downloads from BF using my Win7 account go to an external drive that's connected to the Win7 machine - whereas I would want downloads to my Win10 account to go directly to C Drive on that machine.

So that's probably not possible ??

[ This query has arisen because there is an ongoing problem with current BF downloads to my Win7 which the BF techie man hasn't (yet) been able to solve frown ]

You will set where you want to download the games in the Game Manager that you install on your Windows 10. The Game Manager will not even know that you have a manager already installed on your Windows 7.

Mad, if you open up the Game Manager and click on where it says Options at the top, you will then see a tab that says downloads. Then you will see a new page that says Game Installation Location. All you would have to do is to change this to where you want the games downloaded to on Windows 10 when you want games downloaded to that computer.

On my computers, my download default location is C:\Program Files(x86).

I don't believe she'd have to change it back and forth at all being on different computers, Marian.

I wouldn't want to attempt anything different with BF right now though!

Oldbroad, I am sure glad you are awake - you are so right. I removed those lines from my post.

I don't think changing the download location would be an issue at all right now - it's not really part of the mess - it's just directing the game files where they should be downloaded to, like what you sometimes do when you download a patch.

I have changed the download location a few times when I want to play Nancy Drew: Danger on Deception Island. If you let it download to Program Files x86, the game won't run. If you change it to plain old Program Files, it downloads and runs perfectly. I have helped several people with this issue over the years.

Right. Except, it sounds like Mad doesn't even have the Game Manager downloaded at all to her Windows 10. Have you tried downloading anything yet? I won't because I don't want to run into any issues and I don't need anything downloaded right now so...

No harm in waiting a few days. And no, I don't think Mad has downloaded anything Big Fish to Windows 10 yet, but when she does, she can just change the default download location to her C: drive.

I have downloaded several purchased games over the course of the past three days without issues but have not bought anything new yet.

Yahoo !! Thank you both for the invaluable help yay

I've now established an account with BF on my Win10 machine and am using the Game Manager and can see my full Purchase History as per my Win7 account - so I've downloaded a favourite old Match 3 and played it for a few minutes dance

I selected the C Drive location "Program Files x86" for downloads.

[Most of my already purchased games can still be played on Win7 via the external drive but for the time being I'm unable to download any more to it. That's what the BF techie man has been trying to help with. But now it doesn't matter as much if a solution can't be found.]

So .... I might have two (only small, of course wink glasses of wine with my evening meal now as a celebration lol

Thanks again Ladies thumbsup
