Hidden Depths describes itself as a "third person, non-combat, relaxploration adventure", which is an apt description.
Miku and her younger brother Taku are exploring a watery city, one in which a large black plant-like mass has taken hold,
one which “swallows life and spits out copies.”

They are alone, except for strange manifestations of the previous inhabitants which ‘populate’ the inundated buildings,
and an array of animals and sea creatures.

Thanks flotsam and Draclvr!

How do you know if you haven't found everything when you get to the end of the game? Or if you have?

Hi oldbroad
The game keeps a progressive tally for you showing eg 16 of 20 animals found. For some things (like diary pages) there are blank spaces in your journal as well.
Thanks for asking, and apologies for missing it out.

EDIT: lol This is what happens when I keep my post open too long before submitting it. You beat me to it, Marian! Thanks!

I don't use Epic so did not get the game for free, but I did pick it up today on sale for $3 USD on Steam.
