Remember during Steam's Autumn Sale we had the chance to nominate 2022 games in different categories for a Steam award. Well the nominees for each category are in. Little by little they are releasing the nominees in each category for us to take a look at. Between "Dec 22 at 10AM PST and Jan 3rd at 9AM PST" you can cast your vote for a game in each category. I guess voting depends on how many nominated games one has played. You can click on each game in any category and it will take you to the game's Steam page So far Stray and A PlagueTale: Requiem are nominated again for an award. They were both nominated during The Games Awards Show. Stray won for Best Debut Indie . The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe has also been nominated for an award EDIT : With all the Categories in Stray has been nominated for "Game of the Year" and "Most Innovated GamePlay". The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe and A Plague Tale: Requiem have both been nominated for "Outstanding Story-Rich Game". Inside the Backrooms, an Early Access game that can be played in VR or Standard and is also playable Co-op or Single, has been nominated for "VR Game of the Year". The voting starts Dec 22nd The Steam Awards

I love Stray, but have gotten stuck in one of the actiony/chase scenes which I simply cannot get by. I've been stuck since last summer and finally gave up. I even got a controller as the game is optimized for a controller, but still not having any luck.

It is a REALLY cute game, so it is a shame. I always forget that I am a cat and there are things I can't do - like open doors!

Just wondering if your being stuck is a control issue or the game itself. Did you get yourself cornered somehow. You can't load a previous save? I plan on getting the game sooner or later and it would be nice to know the "do's and don'ts" of a cat

No, I'm stuck on a chasing scene. I have to run, dodge, jump and shake off little sticky enemies that will kill me. I've gotten through several smaller scenes like this, but this one is a very long, very difficult run. I'm an RPG/FPS gamer, so it's not like I'm not used to a good boss fight or chase. But this one just gets me every time after hundreds of tries! Watching a Youtube video just tells me what I already know!

Well like you say Drac that's ashame. You put some time into the game only having to walk away because you can't get past this point. This has happened to all of us playing one game or another. Hopefully you keep on trying so you can move on with the game. Sounds like you were enjoying it or were you....
How did that hand controller work for you? Sounds like your first. Did you like it?

I did like it, Orion. But I will have to play a lot more with it to develop the hand to brain ease I have with keyboard and mouse.

I understand that Drac having had to play some games myself with a controller. I feel that if I did use it more often it would be better then mouse/keyboard depending. Thank you!

Stray had a total of 5 nominations at The Game Awards winning just the one. Stray has also won Playstation Game of the Year Stray seems to be a very good game. One I am gonna take a very good look at
