Hi I am thinking of buying Hogwarts as a treat for me for Christmas. I am hoping that someone will tell me what the controls are Will I have to be real agile with the keys, I guess it wont be point and click. Regards Maggsie

Since this is an RPG/Dark Side Game, Marian will move it over to the Dark Side Games foum. I did a search for "hogwarts legacy PC controls" and found this page. You will need to scroll down to find the PC controls. It appears to be the usual of mouse to control camera angle and the WASD keys for movement plus a few other number keys for other actions. https://progameguides.com/hogwarts-legacy/all-controls-for-hogwarts-legacy-pc-ps5-xbox/Thanks, Marian!

Thank you both. I will check out that link you sent. I have thought of a controller. I guess I will have to go into the game shop and the guy will show me how to work it. It will be like when you get a new cell phone its all different LOL Have a very merry Christmas and all good wishes for 2024 Kind regards Maggsie

Maggsie, knowing how to work it and being proficient at it are two different things! LOL! I definitely haven't mastered it yet.

I agree Marian. A controller looks like the way to go. Checking out the controller executables vs keyboards using Drac's link you either need a photographic memory or a printer no matter which one you choose to go with I have the discontinued Steam Controller and have used it a few times. I found it easier to use depending on the game. Controls are at your fingertips. It is just a matter of getting to know it, giving it a chance. Hogwarts, although it being a tough teacher, would be a very good game to learn the controller front to back At half price it's a good deal maggsie. Get your Christmas present Hogwarts Legacy - Check out "Media". HL looks very good

Hi I am really have a bit of trouble Started the game ,it took ages to finally start. Got quite away and had to learn a spell, a bit tricky !!! I cant find how to get to the main menu to save or quit. I had to to esc ,control and windows to get my bottom tool bar and then close window. I have been on the PC controls via the link you gave me and I just cant find which key to press to get out of the game. I was in the middle of learning a spell so I purpose I would have to learn it to get back to aviator. The game is good so far I guess I am going to have trouble learning spells . Hope you ac give me some advice Regards Maggsie

SInce I don't have the game, I will see what I can look up for you, maggsie. I did find that F10 will take you to Settings where you can remap key bindings. In the meantime, you should have a menu option which lists what all the different buttons do. Is there something called Options in the main menu? Are you using PC or a Controller? EDIT: It appears that Esc takes you to your Field Guide from where you can access things like Save, Exit, etc. See if this Youtube video helps... How to Save in Hogwarts Legacy

Maggsie, I just edited my post. See if what I added helps. You can access everything from the Field Guide which is the Esc key.
