Family, the problem is that almost all ready made food contains high salt and other unhealthy additives to give it extra flavour and/or make it last longer. To be sure of having healthy food usually means doing your own cooking at home when you know exactly what ingredients you are putting into it!

family, it's going to be hard to find recipes for those sandwiches which are low sodium/salt. CHEESE is quite high in sodium which is what raises the sodium content. What you could do is, slice some steak in thin pieces and saute along with slices of onion and peppers. You could season it with one of the many salt-free seasonings you can get at the grocery store and pile it on a roll.
It's not going to be the same, but you are going to have to learn how to eat very differently.

I am no chef or health expert, but I tend to use chilli oil or salsa, or even ground black pepper to give me an extra flavour hit rather than salt: we also use low sodium table salt. Drac is giving you good advice, and although you may find it quite hard to make the necessary changes, you should keep working at it!

I eat no table salt at all. When I sit down to eat, I only use freshly ground black pepper on veggies and potatoes. It doesn't take much salt in food to make it inedible to me! Some of the salt free seasoning they have now are also really good.

I only have salt on fish and chips (probably eaten once every two or three weeks) and the low sodium salt is mainly a cooking ingredient used in moderation.
