Does anyone here use Steam wishlist?

I noticed as of 2024 I am no longer getting an email or phone message saying a game was released. Has anyone had any missing notifications?

I missed 4 games so far. :(

I have steam and a wishlist. I am always getting notifications of games that are on my list. I wonder if there is a setting that might have turned off or is your email throwing them in spam? Edit. I just went and looked. There is in account setting. Notification settings and there is one for wishlist. Go make sure that didn’t get un checked.

I had the same problem recently Ana. A game that was released and one that is on sale - no notification on the Steam store page and no email notification either. I usually check my wishlist every day and that is how I found out.

My settings are fine.

I got a notification this morn that a game on my wishlist went on sale Ana. Checking my Steam notification settings they were all turned on

I did check my notification settings and everything is perfect. Not in my spam folder either. It seems to have started in 2024. I had a bunch of game releases and missed them all. That's a problem since I announce the releases and not all publishers release press releases. eek

oldbroad, by chance do you use Comcast/Xfinity? Wondering if they blacklisted Steam, in which case it wouldn't even fall in the spam folder.

I don't know if this will help but check out this search Ana

I would suggest turning off notifications and then back on. Try logging off and back on. I would also get a hold of Steam support right away if nothing you try is working. Be sure to explain in detail you know. Last thing you need is a lot of back and forth

Orion, thanks, I have done it all before I even posted, but it will be a few days before something else I have a releases to see if I get a notification. I was just hoping it was system wide, then I know it'll be taken care of sooner!

I take it your wishlisted games that go on sale are also not sending notifications Ana. If you do not have any wishlisted games on sale maybe you can try this. Add any game/s that are on sale right now just to see if you get a notification on them. It might tell you that your notifications are working, at least on discounted wishlisted games. It could be a good sign that all notifications are back

I am in the same boat as you BrownEyedTiger, after reading this post I checked my Wishlist and noticed there was a game recently released and I was not contacted by Email, so hopefully they fix this. I have Bell Fibe internet as a provider and I never so far had any problems and as far as I know they did not block Steam (at least they better not).
Oh and yes, I did follow all the steps as suggested above.

Thanks, Starcom! I guess there is some truth to the saying "misery likes company". lol I feel like if there are more of us, the chances of getting it fixed are better! I am very reliant on getting the notifications because not all developers and publishers release press releases (although why, is beyond me, if they want to sell games). I do hope it gets fixed soon!

I thought I had done this before and got a notification

Yesterday I put this game that was on sale on my wishlist. Woke up to a email notification that the game is on sale. That does seem to work. It's worth a try just to see if any notifications are working

You probably should have had a few wishlisted notifications pop up by now so this idea might be moot

What ever the issue is I hope it gets fixed soon Ana

I heard from Steam this morning. My mail is being returned as undeliverable. They said Comcast is blocking them so I need to contact them to sort it out. I had to change my email address to non comcast one. Now I wait. :)

I did too Drac, but when others not using Comcast had the same issues, I wondered if it could be a steam issue. I don't feel like dealing with Comcast, so easier to just change me email address. lol

My other brother had issues with his Comcast email for awhile but he thinks it is fixed now. That doesn't explain why I didn't get notifications. I am waiting to see if I get them in the future. I did receive a purchase confirmation last week.

Still no email regarding a game on my wishlist that went on sale but I did have the notification on the store home page. Doesn't matter much to me since I do check the wishlist everyday.

Well, despite the email address change, I did not receive a notice of a release today. I did get a wishlist sale notification on my phone but no notification for a new release. I find it funny that I got the email change notifications plus the support ticket emails in both accounts I used.

They have a problem. frown

I'm thinking that since they added that notification to the store page, they just don't send the email notifications anymore, but I don't know why they would not just tell you that.

Oh, I think I misunderstood some of your post. You received the sale notification but not the new release notification? What about on your store home page? I think they are sometimes a day behind in the release notifications.

I received a sale notification on my phone only. I did not get a new game release notice on anything. Such a pain in my rear to have another thing to check daily.
