Hey-o, GBers.
Ever wish you could get together with fellow adventure game fans in person? Even better, ever wish you could rub elbows with some of your favourite adventure game developers? Well, if you're anywhere in the western US or Canada this summer (or willing to travel), you can do both!
I'm one of many involved in coordinating the first-ever convention dedicated to adventure games in the United States. It's called the Adventure Game Fan Fair, and it'll run from July 26-28 in Tacoma, Washington. There will be developers on-hand to showcase their games in person, industry experts giving talks and panels (Wadjet Eye's Dave Gilbert, Grundislav Games' Francisco Gonzalez, to name just two), an official Hall of Fame and awards ceremony, and a whole lot more.
Perhaps best of all, we're planning it in conjunction with a Sierra reunion, so the likes of Ken and Roberta Williams, Al Lowe, Jane Jensen and Robert Holmes, Lori and Corey Cole, etc. will be there to hobnob with!
To that end, we've got a Kickstarter campaign currently ongoing, offering the first chance to snag tickets and other goodies. Tickets will be available later as well, but supplies will be limited, so now's your best chance to both secure a spot and help us to finance the weekend up front. Our base goal is already funded, but the full event will cost more than that and there's still some great stretch goals to be met, so we'd love a big push in the last week.

I hope some of you will be able to come, but if not, thanks for looking at least. And even if you can't come, we'd appreciate any help in spreading the word to others who might. This genre thrives on word of mouth, so the more people sharing, the better!
