Hello fellow gamers, I'm Petter of Faravid Interactive. You may remember me from games such as Whispers of a Machine and The Samaritan Paradox (less likely). My next game, Midnight Margo, will launch on June 18th, with a demo coming on the 1st of June. The demo will also participate in the Steam Next Fest in June. https://store.steampowered.com/app/2180800/Midnight_Margo/?beta=1Margo, just a few years out of high school, has returned from a bout of depression. Using a coping mechanism based on viewing life more like a game, she sets out to tie up the loose ends she left behind.
Meanwhile, an unexpected letter claiming to know why she's sad draws her into a mysterious plot.
Midnight Margo is a narrative-driven roleplaying adventure with a touch of absurdity. It deals with topics such as existential anxiety and social conflict, but also offers occasionally dark humour as well as puzzle-solving. Being a (solo) indie developer these days has become much harder, and I rely very much on fans of the genre to wishlist the game on Steam or at least wish me good luck! I'll be around if you have any questions

Thanks for the wonderful reception, everyone Yeah I actually remember there being a community playthrough of the Samaritan Paradox here, years ago! I'd be the first to admit that TSP has its fair share of flaws, and hasn't aged perfectly, but still I used the lessons I learned when making Whispers of a Machine with Clifftop Games, and hopefully with this new title as well! @oldbroad: Midnight Margo is still 70% traditional adventure game, so I hope you can find it bearable! And yes, Winfrey has been so much help and support she's actually featured in the game

Hi Petter I played and much enjoyed The Samaritan Paradox and if you are able to offer your new game via some place other than Steam I will definitely buy it. (I don’t use Steam.) But in any case I obviously wish you all the best !!

Hey everyone, it is my pleasure to inform you that Midnight Margo has now been released and is available on Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/2180800/Midnight_Margo/@Mad, I'll put it on itch.io within a few days, for those who, like you, don't use Steam. I've also read the concerns that the game might be too much of an RPG for their liking, rather than adventure, and I'll let the rest of you report if that's the case, or if even a classical adventurer will feel at home with most of the gameplay. Enjoy!

oldbroad, there isn’t any action- fighting sort of gameplay. It’s more she has different clothing that she changes in order to get different kinds of abilities in order to handle ( beat) different situations. Hope that helps. 😁
