I just finished a game from NovaSoft Interactive and searched around GB for info and couldn't come up with anything...plus, they did such a great job with their only game so far that a new one is in the works to be released soon. If you like point and click first person puzzlers, Meridian 157 will not disappoint. Lots to do and many, many things to figure out. No Save slots but your game is saved at exactly where you left off upon exiting. Originally came in 4 parts, Prologue, Chapter's 1,2 & 3 are all available on STEAM. Prologue is Free (a must to play if you want some back story) Chapter's 1 & 2 only $2.99 each and $3.99 for Chapter 3. This is a very long game when all four are played and very rewarding for sure. Admittedly there was one puzzle in Chapter 1 and one in Chapter 2 that gave me fits and I had to swallow my pride and look for help and there was only one puzzle that required dexterity (puzzles I detest) and that was near the end of Chapter 3 but I made it through eventually. I love these types of games that you can explore and figure out in your own time. Because I hadn't heard of this developer before I had to find out if they had made any other games (no) or were going to make something new. And.....They are...Their new game, Aurora Hills, apparently also in chapters, was supposed to release in the winter of 2023 (they missed that). I prefer whole games and not chapters released at intervals but in this day and age I will take anything. Check out the Official Trailer HERE and their Web Site HERESheriff if this has all been discussed before and I just couldn't come up with anything searching then just delete this Thread as it would be meaningless.

Thank you, GreyFuss! I've not heard of this one.
Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

This was an excellent series! I really enjoyed it. I finished all 4 parts in 22 hours. Reviews on chapters 1, 2 and 3 are in the mid 90's. You can get the series for $10 not on sale and a free prologue for backstory like GreyFuss has mentioned
Thank you GreyFuss, certainly not "meaningless". Good to hear you enjoyed it!

Thanks Orion but did you just play and finish the series or did you already write about it in the past?

I did post Merdian 157 a couple of times when it was on sale. I played it last summer finishing it but I don't think I made any comments about it
My search came up with mention of the game a few times going back to 2019 when the prologue released. Unless I am missing something you were the first to bring thoughts on the game having finished it
I went ahead and contacted Nova asking them about Aurora Hills. Lets see what I get, hopefully some response back

Yes, Meridian 157 has been mentioned many times since 2019 and maggsie had a thread going on it as well. The rest are mentioned as recommendations by a few people including the last Annual Games List 2023 done by flotsam and some sales mentions by Orion. Some of them do not come up because of misspellings.
The company does not do any PR so it's difficult to follow them if they offer no headsup on a release so no official announcements here. I have no time to be chasing anyone.

I did get a reply from NovaSoft on 3/25 asking about Aurora Hills GreyFuss and oldbroad: Yes we are still working on this game, as a matter of fact we are just finishing up the language translations and it should all be ready to go after that!
It will likely be a few more weeks just because of the way some of the stores require releases to be scheduled but it is pretty much ready at this point!
The game will be available on IOS app store, Mac app store, Google play, Amazon, and Steam. This is the first of 3 chapters, the next chapters will take a shorter time to develop as well, it wont be as long of a wait. We appreciate everyones patience while we got our ducks in a row.
The game is just in review for steam, so it will likely be out in about 2 weeks Aurora Hills is now up on Steam. It could release any day now, no specific date set yet. Two weeks has come and gone
It's never too late!
