I can't get Broken Sword 4 to function. It took a long, long time to load the scene onto the desktop, then I lost the mouse for a while and the vocals kept repeating and glitching, voice and music...meanwhile I'm looking for the mouse. It's stuck and slow. I looked for help at GOG a few days ago and have heard nothing back.
I use nVidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, Windows 10 64 bit, Intel Core i5-4690 CPU 3.5 GHz, 16 GB RAM.
Can you help?

Did you check out anything on the GOG help page here?

I read of issues getting this game to work on multi-core systems. One solution on the Steam forums was to turn off all but one of your cores, but I'd be leery of trying that.

Found this post at GOG from 2018. Doesn't seem like there is a good solution to run this game on newer systems. You can try compatibility mode, but it doesn't sound like that works either. This one might be one to ask for a refund.

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

I can't get a refund because I got it for free. It used to work on my windows 10 but now it doesn't. I've already tried all the stuff they said to try. Nothing works now. I guess it'll just be a loss.

I have this in my GOG Purchase History but have never tried to play it. My son is great at troubleshooting so if he ever gets it working on Windows 10/11, I will post about it.
