Thank you so very much, Jen/NDLVR! This is a lot of hard work and I am really impressed with how much of this game you figured out on your own. smile

And thank you, Drac, for the time you spent on this. It is much appreciated. wave

I need some opinons!

I plan to make a video walkthrough. In the last couple days I had recorded gameplay in master mode getting ALL achievements (the postcards was the hardest, as was the secret extra ending that you can unlock for getting the czech words achievement)

Anywhoo, some of my footage is out of sync because I did some things out of order and I got myself lost and a little stuck here and there. Here's the opinions: If I re-recorded but did it in the way I did the written would that be okay/good enough? Or should I fight with my footage and TRY to splice it together to make kinda sense?

Jen, I would do whichever sounds more appealing to you; after all, you are the one who will be doing all the work. I will certainly appreciate it no matter what!

Thank you so much for the input, Marian smile I totally appreciate it. It turns out I do have to re-record. When I was doing one of the puzzles in my first recording, I had itched my ear, which bumped my earbud and un-paused a youtube video -- and the audio of that video can be heard over the game

I found even deleting my saved files, and starting fresh, it still shows all achievements met, so I'm gonna look up how to clear achievements in steam so the video reflects getting them. I will say as much as I love the latte art puzzle, finding the EXACT angle for the photos for the postcard achievement was a bear....and the secret extra ending was hard too (not only do you need to put the gems in the right spot, but also turn them to reveal the message on the back)

It all sounds quite tricky and exacting, Jen - the actual game as well as the recording!

Best wishes with your re-record. I hope you are able to have a bit of fun with it, too. smile

Mini update: I fought with Steam Tuesday evening after work, trying to figure out how to clear the achievements and start fresh and NOTHING worked, BUT, I found a workaround. If you sign into your steam account on another windows account (I created a temporary one to try that idea out) you can play fresh and get the achievements all over again!!!!

So yesterday I started recording gameplay and got up to the tracking puzzle (so agout 75-ish% of the game) in about 6 hours time (and this time around, doing the photos of the postcards for that achievement came easier

When I played in Master the first time, and got to the secret bonus ending (which I had A LOT of trouble with), I followed a youtuber's video. I reached out to her asking if I can include it with my walkthrough (with credit, of course) and she agreed.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Mad. I will be honest here, I'm one of the people that enjoy MID, but after playing this one 6 times now, I do like this more. I think MID would have been better with this game's level of graphics and the modern movement

Jen, your liking of Midnight in Salem has encouraged me to give the game another try. Perhaps if I go into the game knowing its weaknesses and limitations, I will enjoy it more. I figure if you like it that much, I should give the game a second chance.

And I will definitely play Mystery of the Seven Keys this year. It will be great to have your walkthroughs available.

I just don't know how you can't get sick of a game after playing it that many times in a row, no matter HOW much you like it! shocked

Took a little longer than I would have liked (after editing out each savings and starting/stopping and stuff like that, it was still 6.5 hours, so I split the recording into 30 minute parts (which is what I usually do with walkthroughs). Saturday I uploaded the first ten (youtube now has a daily upload limit, which didn't exist when I did both walkthroughs for MID) so after the first ten where uploaded, I got a message that I exceeded the daily upload limit, so I had to wait 24 hours to upload the rest.

Got them up, and in a playlist!
