Zly.ii: The Hacked Station is a new game from Simon Mesnard, creator of the indie adventure series known as The Black Cube: ASA: A Space Adventure (2013), Catyph: The Kunci Experiment (2016), Myha: Return to the Lost Island (2019) and Boinihi: The K'i Codex (2021) (and more!). Zly.ii: The Hacked Station is a revised, paid version of the free game made for the Black Cube 10th Anniversary Jam Here.. Check out the original and free "Jam version" on itch.io and Gamejolt for everyone to enjoy. This free version contains the full game with just a few limitations (low resolution, no sound effect, not bug tested, etc). This new episode can be played without knowing the previous games, the necessary story elements being brought through the narration - but of course knowing the other episodes will enrich your experience. "You are an astronaut from planet Terra who has been invited to the Table of the TSP - Terran Space Pirates, because one of the members, also your friend, is missing. Your mission is to go to the Catyph planetary system to use the Kunci, a kind of stargate, which will teleport you to the last presumed location of your friend. She was looking for a rare Black Cube, an alien artefact with various powers. After using the kunci, you realize that you have to explore an old Anterran space station, but you are stuck there with no way to go back. In addition you can't find your friend, and you feel that a hostile presence is looking at every one of your actions in this dark place..." Zly.ii was made with the Unity engine, using 360° spherical views (pre rendered backgrounds and video cutscenes, like in Myst III and IV). It has the very usual ASA art style, quite simple with a retro sci-fi vibe. The logical puzzles are in the continuation of the Black Cube classics, requiring you to explore, observe, understand and take notes with paper and pen. The gameplay is quite simple and uses the mouse. Keyboard is sometimes necessary to input passwords/commands, or to display the menu (echap). The final HD Edition will be released somewhere in the end of August or beginning of September 2024 on both itchio and Gamejolt, in English and French.
Happy Gaming!

Always a pleasure for me Marian! I still visit the forums on a regular basis, but I don't have the energy to be more active, so sorry for never posting anything... I wanted to take part to the discussions about Riven Remake (that I enjoyed), but finally I lacked of time and was too tired with many other things to do. The bad weather in France makes me even more exhausted this year Hope you're all doing well!

Hello everyone! Ana posted last month an announcement for my new game Zly.ii: The Hacked Station, made to celebrate the 10 years of the Black Cube series. Initially it was supposed to be a short game released in a very simple way, only on itchio and Gamejolt, but finally several people who enjoy the Black Cube series told me they would love to add it to their Steam library. I heard them and it finally happens: the game will release on Steam, itchio and Gamejolt (and possibly FireFlower Games) this month! Currently planned for September 17th but it can still change as I am awaiting for Steam's final approval for release. You can learn more about Zlyii and add it to your Steam wishlist here: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3191940/Zlyii_The_Hacked_Station/The game is a classic Black Cube scifi adventure game with exploration, logical puzzles and a diary to collect, but for the first time created with the Unity engine, still using prerendered 3d backgrounds, but full 360° spherical/nodal panorama. Count 2 to 5 hours to complete the story. Available in English and French for Windows, at the low price of $4.99, -10% during the release week, and you can combine it with the yearly available -15% discount if you buy through the Black Cube bundle. Release Trailer: https://youtu.be/AvVbqE3PRE8If you have questions, let me know! Thanks for your support!
