Hi Guys

I got this game from Steam, and its an old game but it was cheap to buy and I,d never seen it before and it looked quite good, my issue is that the cursor slows down to a snails pace when trying to complete certain puzzle, especially trying to get the bridge pieces in the right place, I dont know if this is a bug or not, I ve tried the compatibility options but that didnt make a difference also I have looked through the Steam forums and I am unable to find anything, is it just because its an old game and cant really run properly on Windows 10 even with the change in compatibility, all help gratefully received

Cheers
SAFC

I found this on the Steam forum for the game. Towards the end of this thread, someone says that ticking T and L when the first screen comes up for the setting, helped the game to run better. Read the last several posts in the thread. They were running Windows 10.

Maybe this has absolutely nothing to do with your problem and someone else will have other ideas, but it's worth a try. Not sure if this would help with the cursor slowing down.

I don't know anything about this game, but is there an option to turn off a custom cursor? I only found the same info in the Steam forum that Marian did.

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

That is a good idea, Drac, if such an option exists in the game. That has helped at times with certain Big Fish games.

Thanks for that info Marian. I'm making that note on my spreadsheet next to the game as I have not yet played it either. I hope safc tries it and comes back to let us know if it works for that cursor problem.

Hi Guys

Heres my Post as promised

I tried the resolution tip but there is no option to do this in the game options, so my next try was the T&L as mentioned by Marian and it has resolved the cursor problem and the game now runs really smooth, to change this you will need to have your Library of Games open in Steam, right click on the Face Noir title then select Properties, then click on Installed Files, then click on Browse top right of the page, this will open all files and you will see the Settings Icon, right click on it and select Open there you with see the Tick Box for Use Hardware for T&L . Hope you play it soon Oldbroad and enjoy the game as much as I am

Once again Cheers all for the help and pointers

SAFC
