Hello all; I am sitting here waiting for the release of the new Amerzone, and have time to ponder. A few years ago, when Syberia 4 came out and seemed successful, there was an oft stated possibility that there would be a Syberia 5. Obviously, Microids has been busy with the new Amerzone, but I wonder if there has any new info, or even fresh rumors, about another Syberia.
If all the people were heroes, there would be no one to watch the parades.

With the passing of Benoit Sokal, I do not believe that there will be another in the series.

Thanks for the info. I have long assumed that Syberia 4 came along after his passing, and that there was/is a person or group working on both Syberia 4 and Amerzone. That is not the case?

I could use another Syberia. You bet! Some of the best games ever developed. Wouldn't that be a shocker. They could "dedicate/In memory of" like Microids has already done including this new remake

Yes, the game was finished and released after his passing but he had already laid it all out. Of course, there is always a possibility they will do another, but I just feel like they may just let it go unless they need it to generate funds since it's a bit of a cult following. Personally, I'd like it to rest with Benoit. This article is the best I could find regarding finishing in his absence. Syberia 4 and the future. Ana

I also kind of felt the ending of Syberia 4 wrapped up the story so well that I'm with Ana. I'm not sure I want another Syberia and maybe with Benoit Sokal's passing, it's time to bring the series to a close.

You are right Ana and Drac. It is time to put it to rest. We thought those Siberia's were some of the best games we have played, specially the 4th one. The story in the World Before was so good. The animation the characters the vocals the settings the soundtrack. We loved it. I would love to see another and will miss it if it's not to be

With the exception of Syberia 3 which I never even finished because I got so frustrated with it, the whole series was wonderful. Syberia 4 was one of the few adventure games where I looked forward to the cut scenes and loved watching them. Loved the story and am thinking I just might play it again!
