Can someone help me out on how to cross the four blue books in order to get the magical tome. I did manage to have Alice jump to the second one, but on the next jump she falls and dies, and on the next ten or twelve tries (thank goodness for the save right here) she misses the mark and falls to her death.

I'm on Level 6 (Skool Daze). I have touched all four glowing blue books, which have formed a bridge leading to the Book of Bizarre Things. I have jumped onto Book 1 and saved, and I also jumped onto Book 2 and saved (using the almost transparent circles, but I can't seem to get the transparent circle on number 3.
While I'm at it, I found some cheats and have turned on the Console in the game option. It says that while playing, bring up the console and type a desired code. How do I bring up the console?

Hi Chuck;
It's been a really long time since I played Alice but I remember there is a spell to help you jump farther,do you have it?

I finally made it to the magical tome, got the recipe and exited to Level 7 (Skool's Out), and picked up the demon dice, but end up being knocked off the edge and die. A little suggestion here would be helpful.
Pokey, thanks for the info re the tilde to bring up the console. I need another bit of help here. I typed in the codes for all weapons, god mode, and full health. But then I get a bright red bar across the top and I can't control Alice with the mouse. By clicking on the X in the upper right-hand corner gets rid of the red bar, but it also wipes out the codes. What am I doing wrong.

Chuck, I'm not sure about the red bar on top--is it a timed sequence? All I remember were the red and blue bars at the side. When I used godmode, the bars did not go down. I don't think you need a health cheat too. Try just the godmode and see if it helps. Here is where I got it: Alice When I picked up the dice, I just stayed on the small platform and fought it out with the weapons I had. I think you will do fine with the weapons provided by the game.

I think I have the code deal worked out. I've moved ahead to Level 9 and am climbing the mountain. I think I'm nearing the top but I'm at an impasse here. I've come to the waterfall for the second time. Looking up I can see a large arch over the falls. Looking across the falls I can see outcroppings which, though I've tried a number of times, I can't jump to the first one. Looking back and up I can see outcroppings forming what look like steps up the mountain, but I can't jump to the first one, even after many tries from slightly different angles.
Any suggestions out there?

I've gotten higher on the cliff. What appeared to be an archway over the falls proved to be a walkway-type outcropping circumventing the falls. I've gotten on the other side and got to what appears to be the highest outcropping. I threw the mallet a few times to an ant on the apex of the cliff, which appears to be about 20 to 30 feet above Alice's head. At this point Alice is standing on what appears to be the last outcropping available and she can see the falls and a lot of, I presume, bees buzzing around, and there is a tree outgrowth here. Is it possible that the tree can serve as a jumping-to point?

Hi chuck, it's been a long time since ive played the game but sounds like your amost at the very top judging by the bees. It's possible that you can jump to the tree.if you can save were your at now and try it but be careful.Once you get to the top you will run into more very upset ants.Look for a pond type area and you should run into a creature with a moose type head, talk to him and you will find out were to go next. Good luck. Sabre

Hi Sabre: I tried that but kept falling to my death. At this point I'm facng the falls. Slightly to the right and up I see the antenae of another ant, and when I clicked on it the ant came more into view. I killed this ant also by throwing the mallet. I see no more "antenae" but I can see four blades of grass. As I turn left away from the cliff there is a grey tree outcrop with two dark branches with a bee flying around. As I turn further left I see a slightly higher outcropping, but it's too far away to jump to. As I turn further left I'm back looking at the cliff face, and the landing I'm on leads down to a darkened landing in a corner of the cliff.
Where do I go from here?

Chuck, in any RPG there is usually a hidden passage to get to where you need to go.If there is no way to the left to go up, and no way to the right to go up, then the only other way is to go foreward. This may sound crazy but there might be a passage way through the falls. Sabre

Hey Sabre, I took your advice and walked straight through the falls and came upon a Large glowing heart-shaped object. I guess it's the Sanity Shard mentioned in the walkthrough. I've tried going behind the object, and I've tried jumping in all directions, to no avail. Any suggestions?

Hi Sabre: I'm right there. I've walked back and forth a great number of times. In fact, I was in the middle of the falls and just walked into it and ended up in the alcove with the Sanity Shard (the heart-shaped red stone). I have a quick save here and have jumped all over the place and, in fact, fell a number of times off into the falls.

Chuck, when you clicked on the ant before you killed him, did it seem to want to bring you closer or did it just give you a close up view? Looking at the picture in front of me, alice is looking up at the archway, from what i can tell she's been moving from right to left in a zig zag pattern. If your in the middle of the arch then the next move should be towards the right and up some how.Do you have any potions to make her jump higher?

Thanks for the map. I made a sketch of it. But, without anything indicating the actual pathway I don't have the slightest idea how to interpret the map. I have a save at the health heart behind the falls. The WT says to exit that alcove behind the falls to the left. I tried that route a couple of times and always fell to my death. But now I know that is the actual route so I'm going back to the game and try that route, being a little more careful. See ya later.

That didn't work. No matter how careful I was, whenever I exited from behind the waterfall I fell to my death. I'm going to quit, at least for the time being. See ya later.

Hi Pokey: I do make sure the blue target point is above where I want to jump to, but I haven't been able to do a run and jump. I haven't been able to find anything in the gameplay guide explaing the "run". I've tried jumping with holding the "w" and the "space bar" down, as well as with also including the "shift key", but there doesn't seem to be any difference. The only thing I've found the shift key useful in is for Alice to walk in order to keep her from moving too fast and not stopping her to keep her from walking on over the side. If you could fill me in on how to incorporate run with the jumping I'd appreciate it. I'm going to go back and try following step by step the jumps you mentioned in your reply. Talk later.

Hey Pokey, I following your jumps and made it to the top and only found one ant to dispose of. I also disposed of the lady bug. I'm saved at the river's edge. The WT says to follow the river upstream. It appears that I have to jump over the river and follow it up on the other side to find the Mock Turtle. Thanks for your instructions. Talk later.

I've moved along to Level 12 (Wholly Morel Groung). Does anyone have any hints on staying with Mock Turtle. I stay with him pretty well, but finally make a wrong turn or bump into something and make a gasp, and then that's all she wrote, I die. I've made that trek about twenty times and seem to lose Mock Turtle at about the same-appearing area.
