A little late for Halloween, but here are a few linked clues on an appropriate theme !. Problem for which 2 potentially responsible? (1,4,2,3,4) - a pain in the neck2. Doctor with a copper onto the French monster? (7) - Dracula3. Prototype for 2 in private hell with mad bats? (4,3,7) - Vlad The Impaler4. Is it 2 in burning heap we hear after 5am? (7) - VampireAs usual I am giving you the first and last letters reshuffled into alphabetical order (all gone)

Mad, you are very close: what would a bite in the neck cause that would be another expression for a problem, only changing that one word in your answer?
