Good morning all,

Time for some nice coffee and treats from the break room this morning, as It's a nice day and a long walk is in order.

After a bit of grumbling Dude was okay yesterday. It reminds me of my last cat, Rachel, who was skittish around everyone except my family members, and she took to them immediately even though she saw them rarely. We must have a common scent or something.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

A bit late today. Better have donuts without WADDB. Tea can substiture this time of the day. Got a few inches of snow. Enough to paint the landscape white and make the roads a bit dangerous. But not dramatically so, unless you're in a hurry. Temperature -5 Celsius. Thank heaven for indoors. Outdoors already dark again.

Happy rest of the Tuesday GameBoomers.

Good Morning connie, soot, Draclvr, hagatha, Fogfighter and everyone. Wide Awake Double Dark Brew is ready as usual along with some English Breakfast tea. wave

We had a few snow flurries last night...enough to coat the deck and driveway! The first snow of the season and really cold this morning! shiver

Hope you all stay warm and have a great day! wave

Good morning everyone. English Breakfast tea is a great way to start the day. I'll have a cup right after the WADDB. Adding emergency use knäckebröd while we wait for the donuts.

- 6 Celsius and a beautiful sunny landscape. A good day for being productive. But first coffee.

Happy Wednesday GameBoomers!

Good Wednesday evening! Picked up the grandkids from the airport today and have been catching up and telling stories since! They are 23 and 20, so it's quite different having them here as adults without their parents. It's going to be a fun week!

Gardens put to bed. Time for more reading and gaming.

Good Friday morning everyone.

My sister's visit was fun. We went on a short but intense hike up Notch Hill, and enjoyed a fabulous view of the Vancouver Island mountains, the Salish Sea, and the Mainland. The trees on Notch Hill are all Garry Oaks and Arbutus trees, which grow sparsely, allowing for much sunlight on the trail. It's a lovely trail, and a great cardio workout.

She had to leave a day early for work, unfortunately.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Good Thursday morning! Stayed up way too late with the grands showing them pictures they'd never seen of their Grandpa - my first husband - who passed away before they were born. So, we all slept in this morning! Hubby and Frank headed up to our other farm to take the deer stands down. His knees are just killing him, so he's really grateful for the help. Anna Lucy is in an on-line graduate school, so she had a class this morning and is studying for a final.

They are going to go to league bowling with me tonight. Hope they don't get too bored!

Good afternoon/evening/night everyone!

Yet a sunny and cold day here. Full six hours of sunight, if you count dusk and dawn.
Currently dark and like -10 Celsius. Tomorrow expected to be milder.

Time to end the day with a cup of light sleep well tea. No sugar added.

Happy Thursday GameBoomers!

TGIF good morning!

The WADDB is marvelous Gerry…stay warm. The tea sounds marvelous Fogfighter…hope you slept well. Draclvr, I imagine your grands provided great team support last night at bowling. Sorry to hear your sister had to leave early hagatha, but glad you had a wonderful visit. Grocery shopping is on my docket this morning and then a clinic visit this afternoon.

Stay safe and warm…have a wonderful day wave

Happy Friday everyone!

Already afternoon and dark over here but not too late for WADDB. Plenty of snow outdoors but not so cold.

Today is Nikolaus Day in the Germanic countries. Nikolas deliver candy to nice people. Naughty kids get lumps of coal from the Krampus.
I found a piece of chocolate in the kitchen so I guess I must have been fairly nice this year.

Happy Nicolaus Day GameBoomers!

Good morning everyone.

I went out for coffee with friends from my Pilates class yesterday. It's a fun group of people. I feel as though I'm finally settling in here.

Today is a nothing day. It's dark and rainy and I feel like just pottering around, maybe do some laundry, play a game, finish the last episodes of Blacklist.

I think I'm quite ready for another adventure.

Hello gang, I hope you are all enjoying the weekend!

We seem to be having back to back storms here at the moment with gale force winds and lots rain bringing flooding and quite a few fallen trees, but so far we have been lucky in terms of limited damage anywhere near our house and lack of power failures.

I was wondering whether anyone had any recent news of family: the last I saw was mention of a stroke back in June, and a search reveals no more recent posts.

Lex, I have wondered about family too. Last post was June, and no news since as far as I know.

And may your luck continue in regards to the storms. smile

Wishing everyone a pleasant Saturday. wave

I might PM Family. She did respond last time I did that.

Our power is out again. In a year and a half there have been more outages here than in my entire time in Campbell River.

Very scary weather here in the NW of the UK. Ridiculous wind speeds and torrential rain, and, sadly, about 12 miles from me, one of the trees that was brought down killed a man in his van 🥺
And wind gusts in one area reached 96 mph !!

Supposedly, the winds should be starting to relent a little by Sunday but at the moment they are still fiercely raging full scale all round my house 🙄

Further south, conditions in England are even worse, with severe flooding expected from the sea making inroads on a vast area of coastline land AND South Wales is set for extremely punishing floods 😱
