Elden Ring Nightreign will release May 29th as an online Co-op played game. Well that's gotta be a bummer for those who are not into Co-op played games. An IGN interview, Q & A, with one of the developers states you will be able to play it solo. At the moment "Single-player" is not listed on the Steam page IGN: Do you have to play it online in a group of three, or can you also play it solo or in a duo?
Junya Ishizaki: The game is designed to be played as a three-person team, but you can play it as a solo player.
IGN: Oh, great. Or in a pair?
Junya Ishizaki: No, it's either one-player or three-player

I tried playing the original Elden Ring and got nowhere. I've never been so defeated in a game.  In the very first dungeon a bunch of skeletons kept killing me and after about 30 tries I gave up. Never did get out of there.

That Eldin Ring sounds like a very tough game hagatha Steam now has "Elden Ring Nightreign" listed as "Single-player" or "Online Co-op"
