Got another update today but “Steam” was prominently mentioned and when I originally backed the game it was NOT for a release via Steam !!
So I definitely need to follow up on that as I left Steam eons ago 😯

I don't know of course about the "key" they'll give you but the game definitely is listed on GOG so I would think you can get one. I hope!

I can’t think of any game I’ve bought from GOG that required a “key” but obviously something will have to be organised for Backers !!

I’ll certainly be very annoyed if, after waiting all these years for the game to be released, I have to start jumping through hoops to actually GET it 🙄

When keys are sent out you should be able to take it to any site you want. Senscape is not going to know what site their backers frequent or would rather use for this download. When they will be sent out is another question. I have sent an email to the Senscape team addressing your concerns about these keys. Asylum will be available on both Steam and GOG to start

From the sounds of it Asylum will play on Deck when it releases. "VIP backers are expected to test a vastly improved new beta by January, 17th. This will include Mac and Linux builds" Kaki's Sister

Mad, if that was the whole update that Orion linked to (thank you Orion!), I wouldn't be worrying. I don't think that Steam talk was anything against GOG keys. Hopefully Orion will hear back from them though, to put your mind at ease.

And Orion, I am no expert on this but I don't believe that the keys can be used on any site.

Mad, yes you need a "key" to redeem a game at GOG from being a backer. If you are purchasing, you don't need a key.

I would think that the GOG "key" might be a free game code?

Marian, I am wondering how the sour taste people have in their mouths from the long wait will affect how they feel about the game. Also, just whether the game itself will interest people as it may have back then. People's tastes change. I do have it wishlisted on both GOG and Steam and plan to buy it at some point.

Well, ob, my interest has definitely waned and I do not plan on buying it anytime soon, if at all. But yes, it will be interesting to see the reviews after it has been released, for all the reasons you mentioned.

Mad, you will be given the option to get a GoG key or Steam key as a backer. I confirmed with Agustin that that is the case. He is looking forward to feedback on the game when released!

Hi all! Just to echo what Ana and Jim said, yes, I can confirm that backers will have access to a GOG key in addition to Steam. Last time I spoke with a GOG rep they told me this was very much doable -- you just redeem your key like any other frequent free game on GOG.

I'll get back in touch with them this week and ask about those keys

I did not get a chance to play the demo when it came out. It appears during February's Next Fest Senscape will release a fully revised demo

I also hope that someday we will see Scratches: Director's Cut back on Steam and GOG as well.
