The letters of the answer to the first part of the clue can be transposed to form the answer of the second part of the clue.

If you find the first part of the clue is elusive then switch to the second part and work your way backwards.

One solve per person please wink

Example: A garment into a tiresome person
Solution is: robe - bore

All solutions are 5 letter words.

= 1. An edible drupe into a light semitransparent material
= 2. A month into a small ornament
= 3. Opinions into a digression
= 4. An edible fruit into together with
5. A decrepit horse into a slice of meat [What people do in a rink into a ribeye]
= 6. Shades of color into the smallest American sandpiper
= 7. A routine task into an orange-yellow color
= 8. A man's trunk into a domestic fowl's perch
= 9. Fence openings into a platform
= 10. Sell illegally into a fastening
