Experience a Family’s Secrets and a House’s Mysteries in This Atmospheric Story-Driven Experience.Check out the trailer here.Check out the game here.Joni Evers lives alone in the Cunningham House, a massive, decaying home tucked away in Harvest, Oklahoma. Estranged from her family, she’s found solace in her solitude—until a heated argument with her only friend sets off a chain of strange and inexplicable events. Trapped in a mystical time snare that twists memories and reality, Joni must confront her family’s troubled past, uncover long-buried truths, and break the curse that has haunted the Evers family.
The Haunting of Joni Evers blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and introspective storytelling to deliver a richly atmospheric and thought-provoking experience. Players will navigate the vast Cunningham House, searching its forgotten corners for clues to piece together the fractured relationships and hidden pain that tore Joni’s family apart. Along the way, players will solve subtle environmental puzzles, interact with ghostly echoes of Joni's past, and confront the force that has trapped her in a mystical time snare. All the while making discoveries that bring them closer to reconciliation -- or reveal that some wounds are too deep to heal.
At its core, The Haunting of Joni Evers is a story of family and identity, told against the backdrop of an eerie, atmospheric mansion. Every step through the house brims with curiosity, unease, and emotional depth, drawing players into a richly immersive narrative experience. The experience is brought to life by Kelly Pekar’s moving voice performance and an evocative original score composed by Gustavo Coutinho (PAYDAY 3), creating an unforgettable blend of emotion and atmosphere.
“This isn’t just a story about a haunted house—it’s about the ghosts we all carry within ourselves. On one hand they can haunt us, hold us back and isolate us, or they can enlighten us and open pathways for growth” says Greg Rogers, Creative Director of Causeway Studios. “Joni’s story is deeply personal, but it’s one we think will resonate with anyone who’s struggled with family, regrets, or finding peace in solitude. We’re thrilled to invite players into the Cunningham House and can’t wait to see what they discover.”
