I downloaded and played the Demo. Not sure what I think... I play high end FPS and RPG games and the movement in this one made me a little dizzy at first. The first person perspective swings around too much. It also only autosaves. Still, considering I never played the first one, I am intrigued by the story and the game and might get it.
Thanks, Ana!

I expected Auto Saving and controls not to my liking. I didn't expect dizziness. Same here. I might just end up playing the original version. We'll see.

I would at least suggest trying the demo. Maybe it was just me! I'd love to hear what others think about the motion.

That 360 default panning is bad. I found the only way to get rid of it is to set the "Cursor Sensitivity(Mouse)" slider in Options/Controls all the way to the left. After cleaning the bottom of my mouse and running the mouse on a piece of paper it took all that motion sickness out along along stutter from moving the mouse on a table. Should one have to do this.....no.....but it worked for me. When you move the slider all the way to the left you will find that it takes a number of moves with the mouse to get around. Personally I am tired of this 360 panning motion sickness. Many have been complaining not only the about panning sickness in games but also complain about autosaves yet this is the way some continue to develop no doubt losing some purchases
I had sent a number of questions to Microids and was getting answers back from them that I had posted on an earlier Amerzone thread. When I tried to get answers that some had about these autosaves the demo crashed and and any further inquiries were put on hold I guess. I never received any more answers from them. At first they told me there were plenty of autosaves, every 5 minutes and would write over one of the 3 slots picked to play. Going back to the demo to check that it seems the game does save every 5 minutes. When taking a break from Amerzone and you want to quit the game it asks you "Do you really want to quit the game? Any unsaved progress will be lost. Time since last save:0:03:29", nice feature. We will play it when it releases

I already tried setting the mouse sensitivity to zero and it only helped a little. Glad to hear it wasn't just me. And I will never stop hating not being able to save at will. I don't care if it is "just" an adventure game. Most of my FPS and RPG games still allow for saving at will. I can live with a save on exit, but that's about it.

And I will never stop hating not being able to save at will I hear ya Drac. I miss that in some games too. For me in this case 5 min saves are ok. What I do miss is not having a number of manual save slots instead of autosaves writing over That save icon that shows up should appear in the middle of the screen and not on the bottom one side or the other so at least you know when the game saves. I never saw it once having played the demo 3 times now. To check the 5 minute save I had to go for a quit to see how much time passed since the last save. It said 3:29. I went back in and in about 1:30 I noticed the save icon appear bottom left. The game also autosaves when you start the game back up bringing your last autosave up to date, why it doesn't save on exit??? Oh well......

For myself, I wouldn't want the save icon in the middle of the screen. It would be too detracting - I much prefer them out of the way on the lower right or left.
