I'm having trouble finding anything to do other than die . Going through my emails of posts, sipping on my coffee and saw your verbage and thought it was a post in the mixed bags break room. Scared the bejeezus out of me! So relieved to see it's about a game! Ana

There will be some more puzzles oldbroad but based on where I am at there certainly aren't a lot. The conundrums around finding and using items are more prevalent, but I think overall the balance of the various threads (exploring/puzzling/inventory/shooting) is rather good.

I'm catching up with some oldies at the moment, and currently play Secret Files: Tunguska. I absolutely LOVE it. I honestly wasn't expecting that much from this game, but I find it almost impeccable. The puzzles are almost always complex, and requires use of multiple inventory objects, but they can always be solved with a little patience and quite a lot of pixel hunting (of which both suit me just fine). And they're never illogical, albeit far-fetched at times, but that's OK, and most of the times just funny. I constantly get stuck, but always get that rewarding feeling of fulfilment when I manage to proceed. The story arc is very run-of-the-mill, and I could have written it myself after two bottles of wine, but the dialogue is exceptionally well-written and often hilarious. Yesterday, I laughed out loud at this line exchange: - I've given you my promise as a politician. - Yes, but can you help me anyway? And the best of all: There are 3 sequels to this game. This reminded me that it's time to replay these great games. I just finished the 1st one, and when I was downloading the 2nd one from GOG, I happened to see that all 4 of the games are now on sale for $ 0.99 each. A real bargain for these great games.

I have Tunguska on disc, but wasn't able to start it on Windows 11 or 10 (to no surprise). So I also bought it from GOG for for $ 0.99. When I went back the day after to buy the rest of the games, they were all up to for $ 10.99 though. But it was still worth it (of course) since they've obviously made some graphical improvements since the disc versions. I'm on the second game now, Puritas Cordis, and enjoying it just as much as the first one.
