Many years in the making (it was originally announced in 2010), this “spiritual successor”
to the 2006 horror-mystery Scratches sucked me in and (dare I say) scratched a few of my itches.

The game takes place in the Hanwell Mental Institute, at which you arrive by car after a rather
good opening scene and set of credits. There is a Hammer Horror vibe to the start that sets a good tone.

When your car ride concludes and you get to take control, it's point and click all the way.

So, I finished Asylum last night. It's quite an excellent adventure game and I enjoyed it. I even liked the ending although it appears a lot of people didn't!

I was quite thrilled when I finally got to the upper floor of the Hanwell Mental Institution and was seeing little metal tags with what were obviously the names of special backers and I found the name of our own LadyKestrel! After the credits, there was a VERY long scrolling list of backers and I found my name there.
