I've just begun playing this game..Love Benoit Sokal..but am having a difficult time using items in inventory. I've picked up the water jug, but can't get Ann to fill it from the pool. Is there a specific area of the pool she's supposed to use? When I click on the jug, and on Ann it disappears and goes back to inventory. Any ideas?

Gillann do you have a reason to fill the jug yet? Do you know why you need the water? Be sure to check the scales and that may help you a bit. I think there is also only one area where you can fill the jar from the pool. That is down from the couches where the two harem females are and you should get a hotspot.
Good luck

I'm in the cage in the garden trying to change the path for the leopard to go to the truck. The WT says to pull the lever on the floor of the cage, but can't do it. I also checked the control panel, but am unable to pull that lever, either. Have I missed a step?
Thanks, Gillann

Gillann did you open the gates on the pond down below the cage area? You should see fish bouncing around I think if you did.

Am stuck again. This time in Molgrave. I have the cured skin for the drum, but can't find it. Have been there, but have no idea how I got to the drum site, or where it is. I've been up the ladder down the ladder, all over the place, but can't seem to locate it. Help!

Gillann you can find the tree with the ladder to climb? The drum that needs to be fixed is up there. Do you see the old skin?

Sue, I have the cured skin for the drum, but can't find the drum. I have seen it, but can't find it,now. Is it up the rope ladder that's near the first level. Where the Matriarch is? On the second level, I've found the boy, and several other people who only hiss. I've spoken with the Prince, and Goodmorning, and have already made the elastic, but the tree with the drum eludes me. My sense of direction is sadly, not very good.

Okay, I think we may be talking about different trees. Do you remember where you found the fat? I'm pretty sure it's on the same level with the sorcerer's hut. To the right of the hut where the fat was is a path....that should be the path to the drum tree.
Good luck

Sue

Gillann see if this from UHS hints will help you find your way around.

Thanks, Sue. The map really helped. I had the cursor looking in the wrong place.

Glad you figured out where the drum was Gillann. I wore a deep rut in the paths around that village. I just plain stayed lost/confused in that part of the game.
Have fun!

Hello again. Have finally fixed the drum, but when I went to see the Prince, the "fixed" drum wasn't acknowledged. Ann asks where to find the drum. The Prince responds by telling her to return when the drum is repaired. ??? I went back to the drum, but couldn't get it to work. (The WT said to go back to drum site, and beat it.) Also, tried going to the angler site, and tried to use the elastic as WT suggested. No go. Nothing seems to be progressing. What have I missed?

Have you made a trap to catch the big cat with yet? You can't beat the drum until all of that is done Gillann.

Thanks, Sue. I have retrieved the hook, and placed it on the line, opened the trap, etc. and something happened, but not quite sure what. I think I've done things out of sync. GoodMorning is both still inside the hut, where the drum cover was cured, and he's also with the Prince. I don't know what's left to do to make the leopard trap. I have to have the bait, but can't get it. What to do?

Hi, I'm stuck in the mining camp office. I've changed into miner's clothes, and have combined the knob and stick, but whenever Ann tried to use the tool on the floor, she says, "Oh, great, it broke". The floor should break up enough to expose the mine shaft, but it isn't happening.

Here we go again. I went back to a saved game, and had no problem with exposing the shaft. This has happened a few times with this game. If at first you don't succeed...and again, and again!

Thanks, Sue. I'm having a very hard time with the cage in the tree. I finally read the WT to see how to control the cursor, but I can't get the cage to swing high enough to grab the stick.

Gillann,

It takes patience, time and the correct placement of the cursor to swing that cage.

Once you find that highest cursor placement, take note of it and keep on clicking on it. luck

Thank you, MaG. I still seem to be missing something. The cage swings and swings, but the cursor has yet to become active. What triggers the change? If I move the cursor at all, the cage slows, and stops and I have to begin again.

Gillann, look for the cursor on the right side [stick side] before you start the cage swinging and mark it in your mind. I think it's about half way up on the screen. You need a smooth swing and as high as you can get it, a bumpy swing will cause you to lose momentum. I'm pretty sure that MaG posted pictures of the hotspots or near them. If you will click and hold the cursor at the edges of the screen, you should get optimum swing out of the cage. When you release the cage to swing to the left, the arc should be smooth.
Trust me, if I could finally get this puzzle, you can too!
Good luck

Sue

Thank you all. I was able to finally retrieve the stick, but after failing to hit the hive, I saved the game, and just returned to it. I no longer see the stick in Ann's hand, but there's also no longer a hot spot near the tree where the stick was. I've tried to hit the hive, but nothing happens. What to do? I don't see the stick in her hand, but I did get it from the tree, and I did save the game.

Gillann I honestly don't remember seeing the stick in her hand once I was working on the hive. Keep trying to stab the hive. As long as you get a hotspot on it, keep trying.
Good luck
