For those of you who have played this game, did you ever make it to the village in the sky? You need to get enough gold to buy a ticket. I played every level and cleared the board on everything, but still ended up 7 pieces of gold short. I don't know where to find any more.

Thanks.

There isn't enough chatter on the web on this yet for me to find any tips. Hopefully someone here has played and can offer assistance.

Thanks, Ana. I tried to looked on the web for tips, but didn't find any either. I did notice in the last few levels I didn't get any coins at all, so I'm not sure if that was the problem or not. I may have to start the game from the beginning again, but that's a long game. Fun, but long. smile

Thanks for trying.

I looked in the comments to Sally's review of Emerald Tale and it seems like others are having the same problem, and not able to figure it out.

Me personally, I couldn't even figure out how to get the characters to talk to each other. I clicked on the various characters, had my character walk up to them, not a peep.

I am such a newbie dunce, I'm surprised I can play ANYTHING without help. duh

Fortunately, this site is a GREAT help, and Sally's Minute Gamer has tips and walk-throughs also.

Margaret praise

Thanks, Minx, for the site! I noticed she has videos of some puzzle solutions.

I just finished Emerald Tale and I got all the gems, but I came up with only 296 coins also. Guess I have to search some more...

Well, Koalnut, you found more than I did. I only had 293. I read one of the comments of the linked site and it appears at least one more person had the same issue I did. Once I found all the gems, there no longer were any coins to pick up on the last 6 or 7 levels. I'm playing it again and I'm going to try to leave the last gem and see if that changes anything. Maybe it's a glitch in the program that if the tablets are completed, the extra stuff disappears.

I'll let you all know how it goes.

I think you have to blow up everything to get all the coins and gems. I started over again and am not leaving a level until I set up explosions against walls and obstacles and nothing changes. BUT, I traveled the first secret level and didn't find any yellow gems, so I must not have blown up EVERYTHING.

Just talked on a live chat with BFG, and the person there hadn't played the game yet, but as far as he thought as long as you can play the game you could still go search out the coins even if you have found all the gems. But he also added, I may have to start all over..... cry

But with all the searching, it is like starting over anyway. There is one path on the map that I can't seem to get to under like four houses early in the game like where the first split in the paths take. Under it seems to be a path, but I don't find a way to get to it. Oh well, I will keep searching.

Hmmm. I went back through both first secret levels and didn't find any yellow gems. I blew up EVERYTHING! Every last little tree!

Also, on top of one formation was a thing that looked like a Japanese paper lantern (one of those white square ones). I went over to it, but my character didn't pick it up. Then later, it got blown up.

Anyone know what I missed there?

I seem to see coins in the debris of explosions. Can you blow up a coin if you use dynamite, rather than chipping walls away with runes only?

I also try to pick up coins as soon as I see them in case one gets blown up before I get there. But I've already passed the first planet and don't have enough coins to get there. So I've probably already missed some!!!???

(This is supposed to be a soothing interlude between rounds of Cradle of Rome, but it's giving me a headache. Wish Interpol hadn't gone by so fast.)

Margaret, I've never seen the coins getting blown up. I've blown them a few times and they are always there afterwards. I think they are invincible. I picked them up as soon as I can as well because they get in the way of placing the runs sometimes and if they are under something, the coin needs to be removed before it will come down so you can blow it up.

Don;t worry about the first planet for now, you need 300 coins to get to it. It's the last thing I believe. smile

Koalanut, try going back to a few of the level right before it and find the level with 2 exits. You may not have opened a path.

I just looked at mine and I apparently need to go back because I've missed a level somewhere to get the the floating ice island and I have no planet. (I guess I actually forgot to talk to that man with the magnifying glass. Sigh.. I hated that level.) smile

Cailyn, I still can't find any info on this game.

One of our members who has played this might be able to help though. puppy
