Do you feel like your fingers need a workout? Step right up to the latest clickfest! I don't mind a point and click hack and slash, really I don't. But it's nice to have something else to do in a game, don't you think? Some of the ideas the developers had were good ones. You pick one of four characters, and each character has a unique chapter in its own realm, and then the world opens up to them. In other words, if you pick the Norse fighter you begin in a snowy village, fighting off an attacking force and then questing after wolf meat to feed the hungry villagers. If you pick the Aztec shaman you're in the jungle and desert, fighting off attackers and then searching for a God to find your purpose. The problem is, although the fighting is pretty easy (at least to begin with), there is enemy after enemy in a line with little else to do. The early quests are solved by killing a stronger enemy that is in line somewhere. The A.I. isn't too keen either. With one character, I got tired of mowing through the opposition, and took to running willy nilly through the screens without sustaining a scratch, passing some forty baddies until I got to a tomb I was looking for to complete a quest. There was a problem with this approach however, because once I got there I received a new quest to kill the guarding baddie mummy that had two thousand hit points, which meant that I needed the leveling up of killing all those baddies that I had breezed by earlier. When you're killed, you're returned to the entryway of the particular area you were last in, although apparently you can use some teleporter stones to change your location after that. You don't lose items or anything when you die. So, you can't save the game yourself, but it isn't a real problem. The skill trees are extensive, and you can swap skills for others (for a price). You can make and re-assemble weapons (not sure if you can do this or need the blacksmith), finding pieces throughout your travels, as well as finding the typical goodies. You're stuck with the four characters and how they look, no options on choosing looks or attributes. There isn't an option for difficulty of play - you play the game through, and then can opt for a higher difficulty level, with the other two difficulty levels having better items available to be found. There's also multi-player on-line play if you wish. The graphics aren't anything to write home about. So far the game is less than inspiring, since it all seems pretty much the same. One good thing is that it is unlikely anyone will need a walkthrough. Just follow the trail. I may play more if someone else plays also, but I can't say there's a huge motivation to do so...

Hi,
This sounds just like Sacred or sacred Underworld to me. Hmpt.
I don't think that I will be wasting my money on this one Nickie.
Thank You for the info and I do appriciate it.
I do still have Underworld installed and now and then I continue with my Dwarf because I really like his cannon but have him using his really better axe instead so far. Like I said I only get in the mood now and then.

Thanks for your input Moogie! I agree, for me TQ was a lot more enjoyable.

HI- Well, I have put the game on this evening, so this week will start it anyway. I would like to have a Titan Quest 2 or a Dungeon Siege 3, I understand something is going on there, but since I am not a tech, I do not understand all that is said. So I will play this game and wait for The Witcher, which is on order. Thanks Moogie and Nickie for the input. Maggie

Hi there Maggie! I hope you like the game better than we did! I may just not have played long enough for it to get interesting... well, maybe! TQ2 is in the works, and several others for 2008. If I were a betting person, I would bet that Witcher will make a lot of us happy!

Hi Moogie and Nickie- Well I am glad to hear that there will be a TQ2 and I believe you are right about The Witcher, I think we are suppose to recieve it in October, not so far away. I will play Loki, which I installed yesterday and it is a shame it is not good. But then, not all of them are. Take care Maggie

You're right Moogie, I just did that when I got bored and wanted to see what would happen. It amused me greatly to lead the parade. You're right too Maggie - but at least the game is not completely awful, just not terribly good.

I'm sorry Maggie; I was hoping you'd like it better than we did. But, at least we supported the genre, which means maybe someone out there will have the dream to make the perfect game. You never know!

Nickie- Yes, you are right. I would like to see some really good RPG, naturally that are point and click. I know more are coming out, I am confused about Two Worlds, at first I was told it was point and click and now I was told at GameStop that it is point and click and keyboard. Wish the companies would just put it on the game box the way they did years ago. I will finish Loki, maybe one day they will come out with a really good game. Have a nice weekend Maggie

I'm sorry that you got confused - but Two Worlds has always shown in the upcoming RPGs up top that it was mouse and keyboard. You might like it though - the keyboard is just used for movement, and the mouse is used for changing the camera angle and for fighting. Your character moves in the direction that you have him from the mouse, so I think it is simpler than a lot of keyboard games, if the movement key isn't too hard on your hand - the WASD keys.

I'm glad that you're liking Loki better. One day I'll finish it, but at the moment Two Worlds was a lot more interesting to me - I really like it so far. I should make it clear though, that there are other buttons to push on the keyboard (in Two Worlds), but not quickly, unless you want a health or mana potion quickly. These appear in number slots, so you can access them while you're fighting if you get low in health or magic. The W key though is mainly what you'll have to get used to, since it moves you forward - then the ASD keys if you want to get a little fancier with your footwork, and so on. One of the good things about Two Worlds is that if you don't happen to save and the character dies, you're resurrected right away close by. Clicking mouse left for weapon and right for magic. I sure hope you like it if you try it.
