Hi Preston, Just in case you have not found the decipher code: it is given to you by the librarian at the Bishop Library. The decoded sentence is: I have found the fifth sign. It was carved in the stone of the Hatvani Gate. I cannot lose this Mercury guards it.

Mag, thank you a lot. I found the decipher code but could not figure it out. By the way, your work on the walkthroughs is amazing. I use them for most games I play. Not the whole game though just the parts I need help on. Anyway, keep up the good work, . Preston

OK- can someone give me the controls used for this game? I am at the very beginning and don't see anywhere to move- all I have is a black teardrop cursor- can't seem to move anywhere.

Challis try panning around until you get a white teardrop. Then you should be able to move.

But what controls do you use to pan? I'm moving my cursor around everywhere but can't get a white teardrop- should I be using a different button?

Page, To pan, click-hold-move to the place you want to turn to. I just remember it is reversed. You click-hold-move to the right to see the left side and viceversa.

AHH- I wasn't holding down the mouse- hopefully that will do it as I have been dying to play this game and was thrilled to see the demo!

Since more than one of you has finished this demo maybe you can help me. I have been to hospital, got note and keys, checked the apartment and read everything on the desk, now what do I do? There is no "library" on my map yet, what do I need to do or find to put it there, I read that note in Hungarian (?) but nothing has been said about an eastern code. Stuck already Love, Betty Lou

Betty Lou, This might help: 1. Talk to reception desk man. Tells you to go to Tourist Office for map.
2. Look for the Tourist office: Go forward across plaza, left at other end of Plaza. Take right at fork.
3. Enter Tourist office at building across the road with taxi.
4. Talk to Juli. Talk to old man.
5. Take map. Exit Tourist Office.
6. Go right of Tourist office and get cell phone at Store.
7. Go back and talk to Juli at Tourist Office and get her phone number.
8. Exit. Use map to jump to Coffee shop.
9. Talk to old man.
10. Exit and automatically go to Day 2.
11. Use map and go to #8. at top of map.
12. Talk to ambulance man.
13. Jump to Tourist Office. Talk to Juli and get hospital in map.
14. Jump to hospital. Talk to reception desk.
15. Talk to Doctor.
16. Jump back to #8.
17. Enter house. Look desk, check diary and 4 papers. Look close at the coded paper.
18. Jump to Tourist Office. Talk to Juli. Tells about wine cellar and journalist at Cafe.
19. Go to taxi across tourist office. Go to wine cellar.
20. Enter. Talk to waiter.
21. Go to middle left table. Go to wall. Dark there. Go to table with candle. Get candle. Go back to wall.See etched words on wall. Exit to taxi.
19. Jump to Coffee Shop. Talk to woman at bar. Tells you about library.
20. Jump to library. Enter, forward to end of hallway. Go right and see Bishop Library.
21. Go to library. Talk to librarian. Get code for Eder.
22. Jump to #8. Decode paper. Decoded sentence: I have found the fifth sign. It was carved in the stone of the Hatvani Gate. I cannot lose this Mercury guards it.
End of demo.

Thanks so much Mag, it was a bit help. I tried to do as much of this demo as I could without too many nudges or pushes but found myself stuck a bit a couple of times when I could not do or go where I thought I should for the next clue. THis was a big help. As for that code at the end of the demo, I am not sure just how it works but was able somehow to decipher the message with very little help from your solution....QUESTION, I know this was only the games demo and not the entire story but should I have gotten some kind of reaction after finishing the decipher? Like a lightbulb going off or something to indiciate I had it right? Love, Betty Lou

Thanks, Mag, but I've gone to the end - I guess I'm not familiar where the plaza ends- and I kept going across past a big government building, and got lost again running into dead ends. I'll have to try again after a while... I think what makes me sick is all the left and right turing to find the active cursor on a door...

Renee, The plaza is that big empty space with a statue at the center. The other end has a restaurant at the right corner. You can't fo there nor ahead. You can go left only.
