I am either obtuse and/or blind, but I have not been able to find any of the jewels that Grandpa has hidden - and Scruffy does not want to be disturbed. Some assistance would be appreciated.

They're there Freya but I don't remember what rooms they were in. Look for the brighter colors first and see if you can't find the emerald and ruby. They aren't truly hidden in any room and I don't remember them being in darker areas of the rooms.

Hi Freya,
I finished this game yesterday- the Topaz(yellow) was the hardest to find for me,but finally found it. I believe it's in the attic where there's a hobby horse on the left side of the picture. It's on the horse. Once you see what they look like it gets easier to spot them. The blue one is somewhat hidden, on the left side of ???,think it may be the garage. Fun game, lots of items to look for.

Dear Sue and AZhot,
I appreciate the help from both of you; however, even with your tips, I have been unable to find a single jewel. I have scrutinized the entire house several times clicking on every possiblity to no avail. Scruffy just keeps jumping up and shaking his head. I am completely frustrated. If I was able to get this far, why can't I find these last items. I'm beginning to wonder if my copy of the game actually contains them, but I am reluctant to uninstall and reinstall and start from the beginning only to find that I am just overlooking them. Does anyone have any further advice?
Freya

Freya my little guy has been playing this game but is stuck looking for the black pearl. Do you remember where you found it? If I can tell him where it is, then he'll be ready to look for the gems and I'll tell you where we find his.
Hopefully they will be in the same place for all games.

Sue

Edit: He's looking for the jewels now.....sapphire is in the pantry on the left side shelf next to a can of WD 40.
Emerald is in the guest room. It's on the big ship at the left side of the room.
The diamond is in the cellar on the orange washing machine dial. The ruby is in the shed, right side on a purple ? trash can with the no dog sign on it.
The topaz is yellow and is in the attic on the rock chimney. Look at the art hanging on that rock and you should see it there.
Good luck

Dear Sue and AZhot,
Thank you for your help. Sue, I tried the locations you gave me and still nothing. I even took in to consideration that AZhot found the topaz in a different spot. I looked in the program folder at "The Scruffs" and found the "player" file was from an entirely different program, ergo, I am going to do a complete uninstall, redownload the game (from BFG) and reinstall. I guess I will discover if there was a corruption of some sort. I will eventually report back. It may be a while as I have a busy week ahead of me.
Freya
P.S. I was playing in the relaxed mode.

The child was playing in relaxed mode also Freya. However, I do not know if the stones will be in the same place/location for each members game. The stones placement may be random.

All the locations for artifacts and gems are randomized, so chances are they won't be in the same place.

Freya, If you could pm a link to a screenshot I could highlight them in photoshop and send it back.

I found that out the hard way actually...I was taking screencaps and saving them, then reloading an earlier profile to start the same chapters, and those artifacts were always in different places. :/

btw Freya, here's a link to a really good free Screencap program.

Dear Sally,
Thank you for very generous offer of help. I may end up accepting it. For the moment, I have already uninstalled and reinstalled - starting from the beginning again. I am about halfway through, but will not have the time to complete until next week. Then I will see if I can spot them this time. Thanks again.
Freya
